On May 17, AITO announced that the new M7 Max refresh has been available for pre-order.
The new M7 Max has launched four models: M7 Max five-seat rear-wheel drive intelligent driving version, M7 Max five-seat four-wheel drive intelligent driving version, M7 Max six-seat rear-wheel drive intelligent driving version, and M7 Max six-seat four-wheel drive intelligent driving version, with pre-sale prices of 298,000 yuan, 318,000 yuan, 318,000 yuan and 338,000 yuan respectively. The four models will be equipped with high-end intelligent driving (192 harness lidar) as standard, and the two high-end models will be equipped with zero-gravity seats as standard.
The new M7 Max brings a major upgrade to the interior and exterior design, the exterior colors are Star Blue, Gilded Black, Azure Blue, Space Gray and Ice Crystal Silver, etc., the interior is divided into three types: red tea orange, amber brown and Shaohua apricot, and the wheel style is available in 21-inch double 10-spoke sports wheels and 20-inch double 7-spoke star wheels.
The 2024 M7 has not been upgraded a lot, and the front face has been replaced with the same closed style as the new M5, with a new Star Blue exterior, a red tea orange interior, 20-inch seven-spoke wheels and Shuyun seats, and a technology comfort package as standard, including a head-up display, a head-up display for the main driver (pluggable), an electric suction door and a crystal gear knob. It may also be equipped with CDC electromagnetic damping suspension, and it is still equipped with an extended-range hybrid system composed of a 1.5T engine and a Huawei motor, and the four-wheel drive version can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.8 seconds. The comprehensive range is 1300km with full fuel and full charge, and the range is 240km with pure electric power, and the fuel consumption is as low as 5.6L/100km under the feeding condition.
We all know that the M7 is the MAX version and the PLUS version, so the question is, will the PLUS version be updated synchronously? At present, only the MAX model will be updated, and the PLUS model will not be updated for the time being, which means that the current model will be sold in the same house as the new model.
So, Huawei asked whether it will cancel low-end models in the future, and directly all the systems are high-end models of intelligent driving, which is still unknown, but it is very likely. In the previous M7 rear-end collision accident, the accident was a low-end model, without Huawei's high-end intelligent driving, using FreeTech's solution, the working speed of this kind of AEB, often 0-110 kilometers per hour, on the M7 PLUS, two sets of suppliers' solutions may be used, that is, Bosch and Fretek two companies supply. This claim is still speculation and has not been confirmed.
This AEB system, in the case of relatively fast speed, is indeed unable to effectively identify, therefore, led to the occurrence of tragedy, if the accident model is high, not to mention to avoid accidents, but there are certainly no such serious consequences.
It may be that the lessons of this accident have been learned, the new question world M7 did not update the low-end PLUS model this time, but the whole system adopts Huawei's high-end intelligent driving, and the old model is sold in the same hall, so the 2025 model, will it be updated PLUS version of the model, it is still an unknown.
However, the starting price is close to 300,000, which is definitely not good news for consumers who want to buy the M7.
