According to foreign media outlet theguardian, NHTSA statement: "The Vehicle Safety Law prohibits manufacturers from selling vehicles that pose unreasonable risks to safety, including technologies that distract drivers from driving safely." Tesla will use a software update to lock this feature called "Passenger Play" and will not be available while the vehicle is driving.
