The game director of Cyberpunk 2077 has formed another studio

This is the second independent studio this year after Rebel Wolves Studios to be founded by a CDPR veteran, initiated by Mateusz Kanik, former game director of Cyberpunk 2077, who previously led Demon Hunter 3: Wild Hunt.

He was joined by former Cyberpunk 2077 executive producers Jędrzej Mróz, Marcin Jefimow, and operations manager Mikołaj Marchewka, who founded Studio Blanc in Warsaw.

Mateusz Kanik left CDPR last year, starting as a game designer for Demon Hunter 2, and eventually becoming lead designer and corporate design director.

The studio currently has only 10 employees and is expected to expand to 60 people in the future. The project they are developing goes against the trend of the industry and is a single-player game focused on character-driven, non-open apocalyptic themes, claiming to have a plot and a secondary reversal.

"We don't want to do that kind of grand, super complex open-ended environment game anymore, and the new project is more polished, more unique, and will resonate with players."

In addition, Raf Grassetti (first from right), a former art director of God of War: Ragnarok, left Santa Monica Studios last month to reflexively join Netflix Games, conspiring with Halo Creative Director Joseph Staten to advance an imposing and ambitious triple-A masterpiece.

Netflix games have gathered many big names in the industry and strive to open up the situation outside of streaming. The company is no longer satisfied with using free mobile games as a tribute to paying subscribers, and has paid a high price to recruit Overwatch executive producer Chacko Sonn and Coalition (Gears of War) technical director Jerry Edsall to host the situation, plus the newly joined Grassetti and Staten, in an effort to promote this mysterious masterpiece to the whole platform.
