Yesterday, the "Eldon's Circle" updated the 1.04 version of the patch, making a lot of adjustments to the performance of weapons, such as the attack speed and damage of giant weapons such as the giant sword, and the "Greatswords" stood up again; the mages' favorite "Blue Secret Dewdrops" updated the Bug, which was "weakened" and the player was scared out of a cold sweat... Now every update is a few joys and a few sorrows.

The 1.04 version adds a small new story of our "old friend" Patch, allowing him to add more lines and interactions on the basis of the original plot.

Patch: "I want to kill you!" ”

Generally speaking, the game update plot content is always welcomed by players, after all, there are more things to experience, and playing is earned, but it is not necessarily for the players of "Eldon's Circle of Law". As soon as the news of the 1.04 patch came out, there were some unpleasant voices among the players, some said that they thought that Patch had no follow-up plot, and had already "disposed of" The Patch in their own world; some complained that they had to finish the plot so hard that they had to open a new week in order to see this thing.

It is not at all surprising that players have such complaints. Like the previous Dark Souls series, Eldon's Ring of Law cannot be manually archived, cannot be saved at key story points to try different story branches, and in principle, players are not allowed to use the method of backing up files to perform similar operations. On the basis of the extremely strict saving mechanism for players, the "Soul" series still has the most stringent punishment for right and wrong or missing the plot, and often a whole plot line is directly premature in a mistake inadvertently made by the player. In this case, supplementing the plot through patches is likely to encounter the dilemma of those players mentioned above - it is possible that in their current storyline, the supplementary part cannot be triggered at all, and can only wait until the next week, which in turn requires a lot of time and effort on the part of the player.

In the face of this situation, if you don't want to leave regrets about your game story experience, the safer way is to wait until the game has finished all the patches and the state is close to "perfect" and then finish it in one breath, such as waiting until the DLC is finished and the game has been packaged and sold for the "annual version", usually there is no problem. But should players who buy the game at full price, the first raiders, and the discussions be treated this way? In the early days of the release of "Eldon's Circle of Law", there were many complaints about "the plot branch line was not finished", and these players now have to run a new week in order to supplement the new plot, which sounds like a big head.

It's good to update the plot content, but don't do it next time. Considering that the last time Eldon's Circle of Law updated its side story was just a month ago, many players should be slightly "frightened" by this intermittent story update. In this situation, it is not a new weekly program, nor is it not a new weekly program - what if a side plot patch is pushed after a month? When the time comes, do you want to push it down and run it all over again? If Eldon's Ring of Law could manage its saves as freely as any other RPG game, it wouldn't have been a problem, but the problem now is that it's Eldon's Ring of Law. Instead of updating the side plot little by little, it is better to gather a whole group of one-breath pushes, and it can also make players who do not want to miss the plot breathe a sigh of relief - it is really not OK, and it can only cloud these newly added "scraps".

Of course, maybe I shouldn't be too harsh on Eldon's Ring of Law, at least it's still being updated and is still offering players new content — even unexpectedly. It's already doing a great job compared to games like Cyberpunk 2077 that can't even deliver the promised updates to players on time...

"Cyberpunk 2077" finally changed the body to a relatively perfect state after more than a year of release, and the newly announced large-scale plot expansion package is expected to be listed in 2023, hoping that this time will not be delayed...
