The third "Horizon Cup" China Intelligent Vehicle Annual Model Evaluation was held in Beijing

Recently, the third "Horizon Cup" China Intelligent Automobile Annual Model Evaluation Test and Review Conference sponsored by the Automotive Evaluation Research Institute was held in Beijing, and the selection activity was sponsored by Horizon Company, and after layers of selection, 20 models stood out from 106 shortlisted models and accepted expert evaluation at the professional intelligent network test site.

Li Qingwen, president of the Automotive Evaluation Research Institute, said that in the past five or six years, China's auto industry has focused on electric vehicles and intelligence, and China's intelligent vehicles have developed rapidly in the past two or three years, and they have forged ahead and made positive progress in technology development, model innovation, the application of artificial intelligence technology, big data, cloud computing and other emerging technologies, and only then have they formed such a good development situation today.

Guan Xin, chairman of the China Intelligent Vehicle Annual Model Evaluation Committee, said that the intelligent technology evaluation method of China's automobiles was obtained by the State Key Laboratory of Automotive of Jilin University after years of research, which evaluates the intelligent level of the models currently sold on the market from the perspective of the demand side. Specifically, the test examines the three functional modules of control intelligence, interface intelligence and network intelligence, and examines the driving experience brought by intelligent functions in many aspects. In the past three years, we have seen that the level of automotive intelligence has become higher and higher, and many companies have made targeted improvements to the questions raised by the jury after participating in the test.

A total of 106 models were shortlisted this year. After several rounds of screening by the jury, the final 20 models were qualified for the actual vehicle test.

Independent brands include: Lynk & Co 05, WEY Mocha, Changan UNI-K, GAC Aion V Plus, GAC Trumpchi Shadow Leopard, Chery Tiggo 8 PLUS Kunpeng Edition, Jinkang Xilix SF5. New car-making forces include: Tesla Model Y, Xiaopeng Automobile P7, Ideal Car ONE, Aiways U5, and Zero-Run Car C11.

In this selection activity, the judges felt that the functionality of smart cars was significantly enhanced, and the favorability of users was significantly improved. They are able to develop products from the user's point of view and give corresponding improvements. The core technology level in the intelligent car industry chain will determine the global competitiveness of China's intelligent vehicles. Li Qingwen said that in electric vehicles, China's independent brands have batteries in the Ningde era, and there are chips on the horizon in autonomous driving and smart cars.

With the successful holding of the third "Horizon Cup" China Intelligent Vehicle Annual Model Evaluation Test and Review Meeting, the evaluation results will be officially announced in early 2022. At the same time, the China Intelligent Vehicle Brand Summit Forum will be held to jointly discuss the development of China's intelligent automobile technology and industry.
