eCar News' new Chevrolet Sorod EV will be unveiled at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which opens on January 5, 2022. On January 6, online bookings will be officially opened for new cars. The car, GM's first all-electric pickup, is expected to begin production in early 2023 and will have a range of more than 400 miles (about 644 kilometers).
The car's trailer, which will be equipped with a fixed glass roof, provides front and rear passengers with a wide view, more headroom and a new experience, which is the first time that a GM pickup truck has adopted this configuration in a full-size model.
The Sorod EV will be the first Chevrolet model to use GM's Aotene platform and will be equipped with a four-wheel steering system and optionally a large 24-inch rim. According to GM estimates, Chevrolet Solod will have a range of more than 400 miles (about 644 kilometers).
