Miracles are not so easy to do, especially miracles in war, which must be paid for by hardships that are different from ordinary people. In the 1950s, there was a group of people who created miracles on the battlefield, defeating the enemy with inferior equipment. This group of people were our brave and fearless volunteer soldiers, and neither the situation nor the actual situation at that time was suitable for fighting abroad. Shortly after the end of nearly a hundred years of war in China, the chaos caused by the war has not yet been sorted out, and the economy is in a state of waste waiting to be revived.
The most important thing is development, but this is a war that has to go, on the one hand, North Korea's request. After the United Nations army, led by the United States, entered the war, the situation was one-sided, and the North Korean army suffered heavy losses. Having to retreat to the north of the 38th Parallel, the UN forces did not give up in a vain attempt to quickly occupy all of Korea. On the one hand, the arrogance of the US military, not to mention crossing the 38th Line, has also bombed the Dandong area many times. Obviously, it was to burn the war to the Yalu River, and in order to protect the homeland and the people, a volunteer army was formed to fight in Korea.
On October 19, 1950, the volunteer army crossed the Yalu River and opened the prelude to the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. In two years and nine months, the difficulties of this war are unimaginable, and the language barrier, the strangeness of people and places, the transportation of materials, communications, cold weather, and so on are all problems. The U.S. military has a perfect system, and supplies can be transported through land, sea and air, so it can even eat fresh turkey. We are different, mechanization is backward, often relying on people and horses to carry transportation.
The inconvenience caused by the weather is even more problematic, there is no way to make a fire to cook on the battlefield, and the cooking smoke is found by the US army and exposes the target. But the climate in North Korea is cold, and rice is easy to freeze when cooked, just like potatoes. Cooked for a while and then eaten, it was as hard as a stone, and it could not be bitten. Nibbling on potatoes like stones is even if it is, the most sad thing is that during the battle, the warriors have to lie motionless in the snow at minus forty degrees.
The bone-chilling wind blows on the face, and the cold coldness drills straight into the human body, and the endurance required in this case can be imagined. The Battle of Chosin Lake was fought in such a cold environment, a deadly struggle that lasted 17 days, and a bloody battle that neither side wanted to mention. Soon after the end of the first campaign, the Un army continued to advance northward, reaching the river boundary. In order to curb this situation, the Ninth Corps rushed into Korea and was responsible for the operations on the Eastern Front.
The Ninth Corps came from the southeast coast and was not equipped with winter clothes, and the soldiers were mostly from the south. But thinly dressed, they did not hesitate, and as soon as they came, they crossed the mountains and mountains to conceal the enemy. Enduring the cold, hunger and fatigue, he marched continuously with amazing perseverance and quietly arrived at the battlefield. The battle was fought on Lake Chosin, the largest lake in northern Korea, and the coldest region in northern Korea.
The temperature is surprisingly cold, the snow is white, and people can only show their upper body when they walk in the snow. The U.S. military experienced a severe beating here, and on the way to the south, they saw another amazing scene. Rows of volunteer soldiers were lying prone to a position of minus forty degrees, holding steel guns and grenades, maintaining a neat battle formation and combat posture. The muzzle of the gun is pointed in the direction of the enemy, motionless, like an "ice sculpture" that jumps up.
This was a magnificent scene of the 6th Company of the 177th Regiment of the 59th Division of the 20th Army, the 2nd Company of the 180th Regiment of the 60th Division, and the 5th Company of the 242nd Regiment of the 80th Division of the 27th Army, except for one soldier who was left behind and a messenger. They were in the cold, waiting for the enemy in ambush, and quietly passed away. In the face of such an enemy, the US commander could not help but salute the ice sculpture company, what supported them? The desperate poem left by a soldier of the Ice Sculpture Company may be able to tell future generations the answer, that is, the hero's will to fight and the feeling of fighting.

In order to successfully complete the sniper, no one will move until the battle order is issued. As soon as the charge horn sounded, they rushed out of the snow like divine soldiers descending from heaven. Many warriors did not find their legs frozen to death until before the charge, but they still had to jump on one leg to fight the enemy. Such offensives often catch the enemy off guard and flee in a daze.
With such determination, how can it not persist, and how can such a unit not win victory? In the Battle of Chosin Lake, the Ninth Corps set a record of resisting US aggression and aiding Korea and completely annihilating a whole regiment of the US army. It also forced the Ace troops of the Us army to experience the longest retreat in history, and the victory of the volunteers on both fronts also laid the foundation for victory in the final armistice negotiations.
