The military command agent recalled the historical details of Yang Hucheng's murder

The Xi'an Incident that occurred on December 12, 1936, promoted the formation of the anti-Japanese national united front in just half a month and reversed the critical anti-Japanese situation. However, Yang Hucheng, one of the two generals who launched the incident, paid with his life for this. During his 12-year captivity by Chiang Kai-shek, Yang Hucheng was isolated from the rest of the world and subjected to all kinds of mental torture. The Kuomintang once sent Dai Jitao, Zhu Shaoliang, and others to carry out abduction. It was rejected by Yang Hucheng. When Chiang Kai-shek saw that the abduction had not succeeded, he plotted and plotted, and on September 17, 1949 (on September 6), he sent someone to kill Yang Hucheng at the "Sino-US Cooperation Institute" in Chongqing. So, how was Yang Hucheng killed? In the book "What I Know About Yang Hucheng" (China Literature and History Publishing House), compiled by the Culture, Literature, History and Study Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Zhou Yanghao, former deputy governor of the Southwest Special Administrative Region of the Kuomintang Military Command and Secrecy Bureau, told the story of Yang Hucheng's murder.

In August 1949, after fleeing to Taiwan, Chiang Kai-shek returned to Chongqing to personally preside over the sabotage of the Southwest Special Economic Zone. At that time, Mao Renfeng followed Chiang Kai-shek's instructions and secretly planned to kill Yang Hucheng. He held a secret meeting in Chongqing to discuss how to execute Yang Hucheng. Zhou Yanghao also attended the meeting. At the meeting, some people advocated a summary execution in Guiyang, but In addition to Yuanju, he vigorously opposed it, believing that if the summary execution was carried out, it would inevitably leak out the wind, or they should be tricked back into acting in Chongqing. Xu Yuanju was the mayor of the Southwest Special Economic Zone at that time, so he listened to him. But how to deceive Yang Hucheng and his party to Chongqing again? This is a conundrum. Finally, Mao Renfeng and Xu Yuanju thought that it was most appropriate for Zhou Yanghao to come forward. Zhou Yanghao recalled that at that time, he knew that he was going to kill Yang Hucheng by tricking him back to Chongqing, but when he received this order, all he had in mind was the four words "only obeying orders".

The secret meeting also decided that the place where Yang Hucheng and others were executed was at the "Dai Gong Ancestral Hall" in the "Sino-US Cooperation Institute" neisong Linpo. This "Dai Gong Ancestral Hall" is the villa where Dai Kasa lived, surrounded by pine forests, which is very secluded. After Dai Kasa's death in 1946, the secret agents of the military command renamed it "Dai Gong Ancestral Hall".

When Zhou Yanghao left Chongqing, Mao Renfeng and Xu Yuanju convened a very secret meeting of six executioners, at which the executioners collectively swore an oath to resolutely complete the task, to keep secrets absolutely confidential, and to serve President Jiang. Mao Renfeng also announced at the meeting that after the matter is completed, President Jiang will discuss the merits and rewards. The meeting also discussed specific actions and steps, such as the decision to carry out a dagger assassination in order to avoid alarm. The six executioners included Yang Jinxing, the warden of the White Mansion, and Xiong Xiang, head of the second operations group of the Southwest Military and Political Governor's Office. Among them, except for Yang Jinxing, the other five people were later sent by Mao Renfeng to flee to Taiwan. Xu Yuanju, one of the main planners of this operation, like Zhou Yanghao, was captured by the Chinese Communists before he could escape, and was imprisoned at the Beijing War Criminals Management Center for more than 20 years. He finally fell ill and died in 1973. This is the news that Zhou Yanghao only learned about when he was released to Beijing this time.

Moreover, Zhou Yanghao arrived in Guiyang on September 1 and met Yang Hucheng. At that time, Yang was very vigilant and went to his room to ask what was going on, and Zhou pretended that President Jiang might want to see him in Chongqing and send him to Taiwan. Yang Hucheng believed it to be true, but asked Zhou Yanghao to stay in Guiyang for a few days before leaving. Therefore, Zhou Yanghao lived in Guiyang for a few days, and every day accompanied Yang Hucheng to the streets, visited the park, and found friends, which made Yang feel cheerful. Zhou Yanghao recalled that they were accompanied by Yuan Shibin, director of the Guizhou Civil Affairs Department, who studied in France in his early years and later served as He Yingqin's personal secretary. When Mr. Zhou secretly introduced Yang Hucheng to them, they both expressed both admiration and sympathy for Yang Hucheng, and invited Yang Hucheng and Zhou Yanghao to dinner several times.

On September 16, Yang Hucheng finally agreed to Zhou Yanghao and returned to Chongqing with him. So Zhou Yanghao, in accordance with Mao Renfeng's pre-agreed approach, immediately secretly sent an emergency telegram informing Mao Renfeng when their car would arrive in Chongqing, so that Chongqing agents could prepare the ferry and arrange the assassination.

In this way, Yang Hucheng and his party, escorted by Zhou Yanghao, the commander of the military command special service who guarded Yang, and others, took three cars and drove to Chongqing.

The first car was attended by Zhou Yanghao; the second car was an ambulance, which was carried by Yang Hucheng and his son Zhengzhong, as well as Zhang Hu, the special agent captain guarding Yang Hucheng; the third car was most attended by Yang Hucheng's secretary Song Qiyun and his wife Xu Lifang, his son Zhenzhong, yang Hucheng's young daughter born in prison, and Yang Hucheng's two lieutenants, Yan Jiming and Zhang Xingmin.

Zhou Yanghao's first car drove particularly fast, arriving at Begonia Creek after dusk. At this time, Mao Renfeng sent a special person to stop the way and forward a handwritten letter, instructing Zhou Yanghao to go home and rest first, and everything was contacted by people after all the matter. Mao Renfeng was ready for the ferry, so they quickly crossed the river. Zhou Yanghao immediately returned to Yang Jiashan's own home at the "Sino-US Cooperation Institute" and waited for news. Mr. Zhou said that as for how General Yang and others were later assassinated, they all learned from the mouth of Zhang Hu, the special agent captain who was present.

After 10 o'clock, the second car also crossed the river and rushed to the Dai Gong Ancestral Hall, arriving at the Dai Gong Ancestral Hall at more than 11 o'clock in the morning. When Yang Hucheng stepped out of the car, Zhang Hu immediately told him that he was going to stay here for two days, waiting for Chiang Kai-shek to receive him on the one hand, and waiting for the plane to Taiwan on the other hand. Then, led by Zhang Hu, they walked into the "Dai Gong Ancestral Hall". General Yang Hucheng's son, Zhengzhong, followed closely behind with a chest filled with the ashes of his mother, Lady Yang. This year, he was only seventeen or eighteen years old, but his hair was already gray. At this time, the executioners Yang Jinxing, Xiong Xiang and others who had already monitored them were afraid that Yang Zhengzhong would resist, so they decided to attack them at the same time in different rooms. When Yang Zhengzhong walked up the stone steps and into one of the bedrooms of the main room, Yang Jinxing quickly stabbed a dagger into his waist from behind, and he screamed: "Dad! "Before I could struggle, I fell down. At this time, Yang Hucheng, who was walking in front of him, knew that there was something different, and he wanted to turn back to look at it, but it was too late, and it was fast, and the experienced executioner had already stabbed the bayonet into his abdomen. General Yang Hucheng struggled a few times and also fell.

Shortly after General Yang fell, the third car from Guiyang also arrived at the "Dai Gong Ancestral Hall". At this time, in addition to general Yang's two lieutenants who were taken to the car room under the slope of the Dai Gong Ancestral Hall after crossing the river, Song Qiyun and his wife and two ignorant children got out of the car one after another. Mr. Zhou added that Mao Renfeng originally wanted to kill Yan Jiming and Zhang Xingmin together, but Mr. Zhou strongly opposed it, believing that Yan and Zhang were innocent, and if they were loyal to their superiors, it was also their fault, not their fault. Mao Renfeng reluctantly agreed with him, so after the car crossed the river, he secretly escorted them to the Zha di Dong Prison. The agents coaxed them that Mao Renfeng wanted to know about General Yang's life so that he could report to Chiang Kai-shek, so he would meet the two of them first. However, they could not escape the doom of death, and in the subsequent Chongqing Massacre, they were also killed one after another, and they were not spared.

After Getting out of the car with two children under the age of ten, Mr. and Mrs. Song Qiyun were taken by executioners to a guardhouse. As soon as they entered the door, two daggers that had been waiting there first forced the Song couple into the corner, and before they could understand what was going on, the sharp blade had pierced into their bodies. At this time, the two children who had been having fun were suddenly frightened by this terrible situation, and they invariably cried and knelt on the ground to beg for forgiveness, but how did the young and ignorant know that they were in front of a group of executioners of the military command? At this time, an executioner stepped forward with an arrow, took a sharp blade and inserted it into the child's back, and the child screamed and fell forward to the ground. The second child immediately rushed forward and was about to hold his little friend, but the executioner stabbed him from behind. Blood, flowing from the children's bodies, stained the ground red. In this way, the two little children finally ended their short lives in a pool of blood.

The bodies of Yang Hucheng and Yang Zhengzhong were buried by the agents in a flower terrace in the garden, and the executioners poured water on their faces in order to keep secrets. The bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Song Qiyun and their two children were also buried nearby, on this day, at 12:30 a.m. on September 16, 1949.
