Guangzhou's total output value of new energy vehicles increased by 81.9% in the first 11 months of this year

Guangzhou is one of the important automobile production bases in the country, with the backbone of vehicle manufacturing enterprises such as GAC Group and a number of parts supporting enterprises, and has formed an advanced manufacturing cluster.

The reporter learned on the spot that Guangzhou achieved a total output value of 586.026 billion yuan last year, maintaining the position of the first city in the national automobile industry. From January to November this year, the total output value was 538.303 billion yuan, an increase of 3.3%, of which more than 120,000 new energy vehicles, an increase of 81.9%. It has 13 national and provincial technology and manufacturing innovation centers in the automotive industry, and is the first city in China to recognize the road test license for intelligent vehicles in other regions.

Xiong Xiaoge, founding chairman of IDG Capital, said that as a product of the integration of traditional industry, digital economy and intelligent economy, intelligent cars have become the world's well-deserved focus of attention, attracting international giants such as the Internet and technology fields.

In Xiong Xiaoge's view, the intelligent automobile industry also has the characteristics of capital, high added value of technology, strong radiation driving force, etc., and has an important strategic position in the global market. The intelligent automobile industry is also constantly innovating, achieving carbon neutrality, developing new energy vehicles, creating automobile brands with international influence, improving chip supply, and exploring applications in specific scenarios, once again realizing the upgrading of the industrial value chain.

Wu Song, executive deputy general manager of Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd., said that since the beginning of this year, the penetration rate of new energy intelligent networked vehicles has increased significantly, squeezing out the market space of traditional fuel vehicles, and developing intelligent networked pure electric brands, which will drive the transformation of traditional car companies.

Embracing the decarbonization track, GAC will help achieve the dual carbon goal. Wu Song said that at present, the group is considering building GAC Aean into a zero-carbon factory. The first is full-link planning, to create a more in-depth low-carbon industrial chain ecology, in the product planning and research and development links, to further increase the proportion of intelligent networked new energy vehicles and energy-saving vehicles. In 2025, the sales volume of self-owned brand new energy vehicles will account for 50%, and in 2030, the group's new energy vehicles will account for 50%. GAC Aeon will achieve zero carbon emissions by 2023, becoming the first zero-carbon plant under GAC Motor. The second is to deepen the drive of science and technology and build a green energy ecology with more user experience. At present, the carbon emissions of automobiles are mainly concentrated at the use end, so to truly play the value of the car to achieve the goal of "double carbon", the core lies in the use of intelligent networked new energy-saving vehicles to achieve incremental replacement for traditional fuel vehicles.
