Shanghai Securities News China Securities Network News A few days ago, the list of 2020 Qingdao Science and Technology Awards was released, and the development and application project of Hisense Video Ultra-high Definition Display Driver Series Chip won the first prize of Qingdao Science and Technology Progress Award. The project innovates and surpasses in the direction of LOD drive technology of non-uniform display, ultra-multi-partition backlight control technology, high-speed signal transmission Serdes technology, etc., and enhances the core competitiveness of China's panel industry and TELEVISION industry.
Hisense video ultra-high-definition display driver series chip development and application project around the LCD panel display control key technology, the development of a series of liquid crystal display driver chip. Up to now, the project has obtained 10 authorized invention patents and 4 software copyrights. The project results of the chip has achieved large-scale industrial application, and led to the automation transformation and upgrading of large-size TV production line.
In recent years, Hisense Video has continued to iterate over ultra-high-definition image quality engine chip technology, leading the development of the industry. In 2015, the first 4K 120Hz ultra-high-definition picture quality engine chip (Hi-View Pro I) was successfully developed, which is the first generation of hisense ultra-high-definition picture quality engine chip. The company's self-developed third-generation Hi-View Pro ultra-high-definition picture quality engine chip has won the "Excellent Technological Innovation Product" award at the 15th "China Core" Integrated Circuit Industry Promotion Conference. At present, Hisense Video TV display driver TCON chip market share is in the forefront.
It is understood that Hisense's latest self-developed 8K ultra-high-definition picture quality chip has completed the FTO tape-out and is about to enter the mass production stage, achieving leapfrog development from 4K to 8K for the first time.
"Although there is still a long way to go in the field of China's TV chips, it is rare that a group of companies like Hisense have played a good leading role in demonstration." Their layout and achievements in chip industrialization have allowed more consumer electronics companies and manufacturers to see the broad space for chip research and development. Yu Zongguang, deputy general manager of Zhongkexin Integrated Circuit Co., Ltd., said.
Yu Zhitao, president of Hisense Video, emphasized: "In the context of intelligent home appliances, the demand for chips is growing, so the company's research and development investment in the chip industry is not limited to the field of television and display, and the field of smart chips for home appliances has a broader space.
