Chiang Kai-shek's father and son imprisoned Zhang Xueliang for 54 years without killing him, thanks to Feng Zhi taking the object out of the country

On December 12, 1936, the Xi'an Incident occurred, Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng detained Chiang Kai-shek for 13 days, and Song Meiling brought small gifts to Zhang Xueliang and Chiang Kai-shek, as well as a small pistol, and went alone to rescue Chiang Kai-shek.

Zhang Xueliang gave Song Meiling enough face and asked him to take a pistol to meet Chiang Kai-shek. Subsequently, Chiang Kai-shek agreed to cooperate with our side, and thus reached the second Kuomintang-Communist cooperation, and the Kuomintang and the Communists began to agree on a joint anti-Japanese war with the outside world.

Yang Hucheng was supported by Chiang Kai-shek to travel to Europe, and a year later, yang Hucheng, who was eager to serve the country, returned to China and was immediately put under house arrest by Chiang Kai-shek. In 1949, a few months before the dawn of national liberation, Yang Hucheng's father, son, and secretary, who had been imprisoned for 12 years, and a total of six members of the family of four, were killed at the Dai Gong Ancestral Hall.

Yang Hucheng

Zhang Xueliang, as a sign of sincerity, personally escorted Chiang Kai-shek back to Nanjing. However, Chiang Kai-shek then put Zhang Xueliang under house arrest. Zhang Xueliang naturally also knew that there were risks in going here, but his righteousness was awe-inspiring, and he had the ambition of being windy and cold, and easy to be cold.

After Chiang Kai-shek imprisoned Zhang Xueliang, he pronounced Zhang Xueliang's crimes in a military court and sentenced Zhang Xueliang to 10 years in prison.

This time, Zhang Xueliang chose to believe in Chiang Kai-shek, feeling that after 10 years, he would be free. However, who would have thought that Chiang Kai-shek's father and son had imprisoned Zhang Xueliang for more than half a century, a total of 54 years.

After Zhang Xueliang was imprisoned, although he tried to calm himself, he still felt that he had no way to serve the country, and he was still very depressed. Although Yu Fengzhi used his connections to run around, he only got the opportunity to accompany Zhang Xueliang.

At the beginning, Yu Fengzhi and Miss Zhao Si took turns to accompany Zhang Xueliang, and at this time, Miss Zhao Si and Zhang Xueliang's son was still young and also needed to be taken care of. The world is unpredictable, this side of the water is deep and the sea of fire, and Yu Fengzhi over there has found breast cancer.

Yu Fengzhi went to the United States for medical treatment, and the heavy responsibility of accompanying Zhang Xueliang fell on Miss Zhao Si. Miss Zhao Si entrusted her son to her American friends and asked them to raise him on his behalf. Later, after many twists and turns, decades later, the family was reunited again, which is also a belated family reunion.

The period of Zhang Xueliang's imprisonment - ten years have arrived, the outside world calls for Zhang Xueliang's freedom are getting louder and louder, and Chiang Kai-shek is under various pressures and hesitates to think about whether to give Zhang Xueliang freedom.

However, Chiang Kai-shek did not want to let Zhang Xueliang go in vain, he wanted to save face for himself, did not want Zhang Xueliang to appear in his vision again, and at the same time, in order to find a breakthrough for himself that was more conducive to improving his image, he thought of finding someone to talk to Zhang Xueliang.

The name of the man Chiang Kai-shek was Mo Dehui, who had been Zhang Zuolin's right-hand man and had served as a member of the Northeast Security, Government Affairs, and Foreign Affairs Committees. In the Huanggutun incident, Mo Dehui was also injured, but there was no fear of his life.

Mordhui

Mo Dehui (1883-1968), also known as Liu Chen, was a politician during the Republic of China period and the president of the Examination Institute of the National Government, who supported the Three People's Principles. He was heavily relied upon by Zhang Zuolin and served as acting governor of the Fengtian Finance Department and director of the Ministry of Agriculture and Industry of the Beiyang Government. After Zhang Xueliang took charge of the northeast, he served as a member of the northeast security, government affairs, and foreign affairs committees. On the eve of the Northeast Yizhi, he was ordered to go to Japan to impress Tanaka not to interfere with the success of Yi zhi, and was one of Zhang Xueliang's close collaborators. He went to Taiwan in 1949 and served as the president of the Examination Institute for 12 years in 1954. During his term of office, he embarked on reforming the examination system and technology, promoting the classification of posts, advocating the integration of examination and use, and establishing and improving the insurance system for civil servants. In May 1966, he was transferred to the Vice Chairman of the Guangfu Mainland Design and Research Committee. On June 20 of the same year, he was appointed Senior Counsellor of the Presidential Office. On April 17, 1968, Mo Dehui died of illness in Taiwan at the age of 85.

In September 1946, Mo Dehui was entrusted by Chiang Kai-shek to meet Zhang Xueliang. After Mo Dehui and Zhang Xueliang reminisced about the past, they held hands and looked at the tears in their eyes, and finally said the three conditions that Chiang Kai-shek put forward to Zhang Xueliang. As long as Zhang Xueliang agrees to these three conditions, then Zhang Xueliang can be given freedom.

The three conditions proposed by Chiang Kai-shek are:

1. Admit that Zhang Xueliang was deceived by people and did something wrong; 2. After gaining his freedom, he must go abroad; 3. Return the non-resistance telegram sent by Chiang Kai-shek to Zhang Xueliang during the September 18 Incident. Chiang Kai-shek's purpose is self-evident, first of all, to justify himself, to show that Zhang Xueliang's previous practice was unjustified and wrong. Secondly, he didn't want to see Zhang Xueliang again, and let him go as far as possible. Finally, the most crucial thing is that the orders that he did not resist before must be withdrawn, and he cannot be given a handle.

To tell the truth, being able to gain freedom is something that Zhang Xueliang and Zhao Yidi are looking forward to very much, and they don't want to live the life of a caged bird in Guiyang for a moment. However, when Mo Dehui said Chiang Kai-shek's conditions, Zhang Xueliang immediately refused.

At this time, Zhang Xueliang was more than forty years old. Zhang Xueliang chose to follow his heart, he spoke with his conscience, did not want to say things against his heart, and did things against his heart. I don't want to carry the pot for Chiang Kai-shek and let myself be pointed out by thousands of people. As Zhang Xueliang said, if their father and son are not patriotic, can they fall to such a point?

Chiang Kai-shek did not achieve his expected goals and no longer intended to spare Zhang Xueliang. Even if Zhang Xueliang gave him a gift— the clock suggested he was up in time— Chiang Kai-shek ignored it.

So, where is this non-resistance telegram that Chiang Kai-shek so desperately wants? In the hands of Feng Zhi.

According to some sources, this telegram was placed by Yu Fengzhi in the safe of foreign banks, and Yu Fengzhi's move was to give Zhang Xueliang a clean slate and leave a guarantee for Zhang Xueliang, so that Chiang Kai-shek was jealous and did not dare to kill Zhang Xueliang.

In 1990, Zhang Xueliang gained personal freedom and flew to the United States, but he had been looking forward to reuniting with Zhang Xueliang, and Zhang Xueliang felt that his wife Yu Fengzhi had been ashamed of all his life, and had been dead for several months.
