MediaTek Tianji 9000 flagship chip released, TSMC 4nm process 8 core

Earlier today, MediaTek officially launched its latest flagship chipset, the Tianji 9000 SoC. It will provide processing power for high-end smartphones, and brands have confirmed that the new chip will be used in upcoming mobile phone products.

Tianji 9000 is based on TSMC's 4nm process and adopts ARMv9 CPU architecture. The SoC has eight cores, one of which has a Cortex X2 supercore clocked at 3.05GHz, paired with three high-performance Cortex A710 cores and four efficiency-based Cortex A510 cores. In addition, it supports LPDDR5X memory as well as 8MB L3 cache and 6MB system cache. Graphics processing, which uses the Mali G710 GPU to support the brand's HyperEngine 5.0 and AI-VRS, as well as a ray-traced SDK using Vulkan for Android.

MTK said, "Tianji 9000 is by far the most powerful and energy-efficient chip, providing the most discerning technology enthusiasts with a number of industry firsts and full sets of features." With the official launch, smartphone brands have announced on social media that upcoming mobile phones will adopt this new chipset.

Including Redmi, the upcoming model in its K50 series will feature MediaTek's new flagship chipset. Similarly, OPPO also revealed that its next-generation Find X series models will also use the Tianji 9000 SoC. Other brands such as Vivo, Xiaomi and even Honor will also launch smartphones using the chip in the first quarter of next year. Stay tuned for more information on Tianji 9000.
