"Small Town Talk": a big adventure to save the world, the science fiction adventure of small town teenagers

I almost missed july's new book because of the title of the book. July is one of my favorite science fiction writers in recent years. His "Strange Talk of a Small Town" has a very good shadow of Chinese science fiction in the 1990s, and has a very nostalgic science fiction temperament.

The book tells the story of what happened in a remote town in the west in the 1990s. It seems that the author is a person from the western region, so when I saw July writing about the surprise of Liu Ziqi, a Shanghainese, when he first came, I, a person in the eastern region, still had a sense of violation.

For example, Liu Ziqi is very surprised that the 404 factory has everything from kindergartens to technical schools, and even has its own milk factory. But for me, a person in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, that era was also very common in jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, such a super factory, right? My father's factory area is complete from kindergarten to high school, and the supporting living equipment department can be closed and circulated in it for a lifetime. Not to mention that later came to Nanjing to go to school, there are countless primary schools and middle schools for children. Shanghai, the country's largest city, will only see more of that.

Therefore, Liu Ziqi arrived at the 404 factory as if Liu Grandma had entered the Grand View Garden, which was completely the author's imagination, and when he looked at it, he was a bit out of touch with reality.

There is also the use of air defense sirens as a bell for commuting in the factory area, which also frightens Liu Ziqi. I think this is also a bit too much of a bow snake shadow. Who from the eighties didn't hear an air raid siren a few times when they were a kid? A lot of times it's for exercises, and it's unlikely that you'll be startled to that extent.

In addition to these few points of violation, the whole book is still very good. The book is set in the nineties and evokes memories and resonance for me. The friendship of several middle school students also reminded me of the days when I went to school and played with my classmates when I was a child.

Because of the arrival of Liu Ziqi, a Shanghainese who transferred schools, several small partners took him to play in the factory area together, but they did not expect that a small partner disappeared, and they did not expect to meet the biggest secret of the entire factory, and even this secret was related to the survival of the entire human civilization.

This kind of juvenile rescue plot is not uncommon, but July wrote this subject as suspenseful and retro, which I did not expect. Although I love to read science fiction, my science is not good, and many theories I actually don't understand, but there is no technical barrier to a good story. Such is the case with July's novel. Although a lot of theories are used in the novel, as a science idiot, I basically understand it.

The more famous theories involved in this are "quantum entanglement" and "double-slit experiment", which are so famous that I have specifically learned about them. Based on these two theories, and again in the context of the early days of reform and opening up, the story of this teenager's exploration in July has produced a very interesting reading experience.

The junior squad adventure is a very classic story type, in this story, each teenager has a different personality and a different family, which creates contradictions in this squad and also creates a synergy. They have a kind of inland youth simplicity and stubbornness, in order to find their former friends, completed a Jedi adventure. As a peer of that era, I couldn't help but substitute my youthful self into it.

Overall, this is a great sci-fi book for teenage adventures. I felt like I had finished reading the book myself and would soon be able to show it to my son.
