A local government administrator said that at a meeting on January 31, Miao Mintan, an officer in the detonation battalion, said that a two-day destruction of old shells and ammunition would be carried out. The time is set at 7 a.m., and the destruction will be carried out three times a day, so the local people do not need to panic.
The informed administrator said that it was not known how long it took to destroy the shells, and that from 10 a.m. on February 9, gunshots rang out from the military camp, which lasted for more than an hour. Except for notification at the meeting, no formal communication notice was made.
Ge Miaolun, a local citizen in Anzhen District, said that the relationship between the military and the Rakhine armed forces continues to be tense, and we should be informed at such a time.
