Recently, a foreign cracking team found a new system vulnerability in Sony PlayStation 4 host, including PS4, Slim and Pro models, as long as the system firmware version is below 9.0 can be cracked. Crucially, this system vulnerability was exposed and also applied to PS5 consoles.
A message on GitHub shows that this system vulnerability is named "pOOBs4" and exists in PS5. However, the foreign cracking team said that the system vulnerability of "pOOBs4" cannot be jailbroken to crack the PS5 host after testing. There are too many uncertainties, so players are advised not to exploit this vulnerability to crack PS5 in the first place.
