Players in the Elden Ring have discovered a new thing that appears to be a loophole, and can use invisible magic to kill enemies.
This vulnerability involves the War Ashes of the Magic Rider Giant, which, when applied to a shield, allows the player to fend off magic projectiles. In the version so far, this gameplay, although Laipi, is legal.
However, this skill can also be used to fend off the player's own magical attacks, which not only become invisible, but also inflict massive damage as the shield is upgraded.
Against in-game bosses, that's all well and good, but it's cheating for players to use this (seemingly) vulnerability in an online game to beat their opponents. Since the attack is invisible, it is almost impossible to dodge.

In a recent patch, FromSoftware fixed a similar bug where players could activate Erdtree Greatshield's weapon skills without absorbing attacks. Players want it to do the same with Carian Retaliation.
