On December 15th, Chi Heng Box Auto held its box car debut and brand launch in Beijing. At the meeting, Chi Heng Box officially released two new models, namely the BM-400 positioned in the compact MPV and the BM-600 positioned in the medium and large MPV.
It is understood that the BM-400 and BM-600 are specially built for the commercial travel market, and will focus on the online ride-hailing and taxi markets in the future, of which the former will be listed in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the latter will be listed in the third quarter of 2024.
BM-400 size is 4560 * 1900 * 1790 mm, wheelbase 2850 mm, using a simple design scheme, four wheels and four corners, the overall look is indeed like a square "box".
Since Passengers in China generally get on and off from the right side of the vehicle, the BM-400 in the online car market has directly cancelled the passenger side door and the left rear door of the body, which can reduce the production cost of the vehicle to a certain extent.
The interior of the BM-400 is the biggest highlight of the whole car, it adopts a special three-row five-seat (1+1+3) layout, the first two rows of the right side of the seats are no seats, to vacate a large open space, can put down the larger luggage, even wheelchairs.
And thanks to greater flexibility, operators can tailor vehicle functions to their own needs, even if a vending machine is installed on the passenger side.
As for the BM-600, the design concept is basically the same as that of the BM-400, and their chassis parts share rate of 95%, that is, the body is elongated to reach 4.9 meters, the wheelbase is 3.1 meters, so it can have more spare interior space and one more seat.
In terms of power, both cars are from the Chi Heng box "Octopus" generation platform, both cars support 600V high-voltage fast charging, and BM-400 also supports the power exchange mode, but unfortunately the official has not announced its motor parameters for the time being.
As for the cruising range, the BM-400 has two types of 420 km and 530 km, while the BM-600 can run 600 km under NEDC conditions.
