Of course, it cannot be too tight and inelastic, and there are problems such as strangulation of the cervical spine or ribs, so it needs to be carefully designed to make people stop before touching something.

The airbag is responsible for opening up quickly after the collision, forming an air cushion to absorb kinetic energy and avoid colliding with hard objects.

Considering the speed of the vehicle, this "hurry to open" time window is milliseconds, currently only with explosives this technology can be satisfied, compressed air is simply too late.

Therefore, airbags need to be carefully designed more than seat belts, and a little later is a gap between life and death.

Once the passenger lies down in the car, seat belts and airbags are no longer safety in the event of a collision, but dangerous goods.

Once a collision occurs, the person slides forward due to inertia, and the seat belt that previously restricted the waist part is no longer facing the body, which cannot restrict the whole person from slipping forward, and there is a risk of breaking legs and breaking the waist.

The part that previously restricted the shoulder will directly jam the neck and strangle it back, causing many risks, including singing voice.

The same is true for airbags, the pre-collision parameters carefully adjusted by the manufacturer are greatly affected by the position of the person, and the effect of absorbing kinetic energy is destined to be greatly reduced.

If there is another passenger in the back seat lying and not wearing a seat belt, in the event of a collision in Figure 3, he will evolve into a human shell, not only flying and hitting his head on the back, but also posing a serious threat to the front seat.

Considering that the child's body size, skeleton hardness, etc. are not comparable to adults, the above carefully adjusted seat belts and airbags for adults are temporarily not compatible with children, so the automotive industry generally recommends the purchase of child safety seats, and children are prohibited from using ordinary seat belts.
