On the evening of December 14, Toyota announced that its Lexus brand will transform into Europe, North America and China in 2030, and become a global pure electric vehicle brand in 2035. At the same time, Lexus also released four concept cars that will be mass-produced in the future, named RZ, Electrified Sport, Electrified Sedan, electrified SUV four models.
Electrified Sport concept car
The first model, the Electrified Sport, will be the successor to LFA in the future as an electric sports car. From the concept car, the new car is equipped with a large number of aerodynamic kits, and the compact proportion design of the long head and short tail further highlights the unique sporty feeling of the sports car. At present, the car is undergoing preliminary research and development in Japan, and the new car is expected to complete the goal of 0-100km/h acceleration time of 2 seconds and a cruising range of more than 700km.
Lexus RZ concept car
The second model is the Lexus RZ, which has previously been exposed by foreign media, and the new car is positioned as a compact crossover SUV, which is scheduled to be launched in 2022 as a mass-production version of the LF-Z pure electric concept car. At the same time, the car will be built on the same e-TNGA platform as Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra. In terms of power, Lexus' new RZ will be equipped with a 71.4kW·h battery pack, and provide dual motor drive front and rear, Direct4 torque vectoring system and steer-by-wire technology, with a maximum output of 150kW.
Electrified Sedan and Electrolyified SUV concept cars
The other two electric models are called the Electrofit Sedan and the Electrofit SUV. The former uses a more stylish and sporty look, while the latter uses a design similar to the Lexus RX. Foreign media expect that the former will be released as a future electric car of Lexus, while the latter is expected to replace models such as the RX.
