In the course of more than a thousand years of history, Xianghe County has left a rich material cultural heritage and has become an indispensable part of China's Grand Canal culture. In recent years, Xianghe County has always adhered to the principle of "protection first, rescue first, strengthening inheritance and rational utilization", fully excavated the cultural resources of the Grand Canal, refined the cultural value of the Grand Canal, told the story of the Grand Canal, and polished the new business card of "Gyeonggi Shouyi Ruyi Xianghe" with canal culture.

Over the years, the Canal Culture Research Association has been digging deep and combing the cultural resources and cultural connotations of the Xianghe Grand Canal. At present, the research association is editing a new Series of Books on Xianghe Canal Culture, a total of 10 books, including Xianghe folk culture, poetry culture, food culture, folk literature, folk handicrafts, etc., and has basically completed the first draft, and plans to officially publish and issue it in the first half of next year.
In recent years, Xianghe County has formulated and completed the "Development Plan for the Protection and Development of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Xianghe County", and launched the transformation and upgrading of intangible cultural heritage projects such as Antoutun Zhongwan, Cloisonné, Tongjian Fist, Jing embroidery, and Jingdong Dagu. In 2019, Xianghe County took the lead in building the "Canal Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center" in the city, becoming a comprehensive intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance base and a window for the dissemination of grand canal culture that integrates intangible cultural heritage display and publicity, research and protection, education and inheritance, interactive experience, and cultural exchanges.
In the Xianghe section of the North Canal, there is also a national key cultural relics protection unit is the site of the Golden Gate Gate in Hongmiao Village. Through in-depth excavation and combing, we consulted a large number of historical documents, and completed the Construction of the Xianghe Kinmen Gate Water Conservancy Exhibition Hall at the site of the Golden Gate Gate, which became an important window for publicizing the water culture of the canal in the next step.
By deepening cooperation and exchanges with canal culture in Beijing and Tianjin, strengthening the development of cultural and creative derivatives and the creation of fine cultural and artistic products of the Grand Canal, and using mobile Internet to publicize, the cultural heritage of the canal has been rejuvenated with new vitality and vitality.
In order to disseminate and promote the canal culture, we rely on the mobile terminal light application platform and new technology, at the end of 2019, we developed and launched the Xianghe Grand Canal Cultural Cloud Business Card, including the overview of the Xianghe River, the source flow of historical villages and towns, folk culture, intangible cultural heritage, map navigation, VR panorama, etc., so that the canal culture of Xianghe can be seen, touched, taken away, used and spread.
