Later, he burned Xinye, forcing Cao Ren to retreat. In the end, he went to Jiangdong to fight the Confucians, and won a breathing space for Liu Beijun. After the Battle of Chibi in the thirteenth year of Jian'an (208), Liu Bei and his party finally had a good place to stay. It can be said that without Zhuge Liang's support, it would be difficult to have a powerful Shu state later.

For many years as the prime minister of the Shu State, Zhuge Liang had worked hard to do everything in his own hands.
