Xiamen, 13 Dec (Xinhuanet) -- On December 12, the 13th Taiwan Straits Forum was launched in Jimei, Xiamen. Zhangpu paper-cutting, Zhangzhou embroidery, Nanyin, puppet show and other 11 intangible cultural heritage projects were unveiled.
Chen Dubin, president of the Kinmen Compatriots Association of Fujian Province, said that the two sides of the strait share the same language, the same species, the same roots, and the same origin, and they also have inseparable blood roots in non-genetic inheritance. The villagers on both sides of the strait are the common inheritors of Chinese culture. It is hoped that through this exhibition, we will further carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, enhance the cultural identity and national identity of the two sides of the strait, and strengthen the concept of one family on both sides of the strait.
The event was jointly sponsored by Fujian Daily Newspaper Group (Straits Herald) and Fujian Kinmen Compatriots Association.
