Previously, takeaway platforms such as Meituan and Ele.me have exposed problems such as "unlicensed operation" of takeaway businesses, "dirty and messy" some businesses, and "two choices one" in restaurants.

At the meeting, the problems existing in the platform's performance of the main responsibility were reported. The relevant person in charge of the Jiangbei District Market Supervision Bureau said that since the "network supervision action" this year, the market supervision department found that the network platform was not strict with the business operators' review information, did not strictly perform the advertising audit responsibility, and did not fully implement the food safety responsibility, the platform only focused on business development, and its own inspection mechanism was not perfect. In terms of implementing the statutory responsibilities of the subject, there are problems such as unclear licenses published by the merchants; failure to submit the format contract used to the Jiangbei District Market Supervision Bureau; and failure to save and find the old rules in accordance with the regulations after the new rules are announced, so that users cannot compare the old and new rules.

In this regard, the Jiangbei District Market Supervision Bureau combined with the requirements of the construction of a national civilized urban area in Jiangbei District and the creation of a national food safety demonstration city, and put forward specific work requirements for the platform to implement the main responsibility, improve the consumer complaint mechanism, and strengthen the training of takeaway delivery personnel.

"The platform should strictly abide by the bottom line of food safety, strengthen the specification of takeaway services, and optimize the working environment of takeaway delivery workers." The above-mentioned person in charge stressed that the food delivery station of the platform should apply for a business license, the sale of food on the platform (such as hot pot balls, etc.) should obtain a food business license, the sale of Class II medical devices (such as medical masks, etc.) should obtain a class II medical device business record certificate, and the sale of class III medical devices (such as U.S. pupils, contact lens care fluids, etc.) should obtain a medical device business license.

In addition, the prescription drug sales system is strictly enforced, and it is strictly forbidden to falsify the original price of the goods. Platforms should protect consumer information privacy and improve dispute resolution mechanisms. Perform their duties in accordance with the requirements of creating a food safety demonstration city.

The meeting demanded that online trading platform companies should carry out business activities in accordance with laws and regulations, find problems in benchmarking tables, timely rectify and achieve practical results, purify the network market environment, and promote the sustained and healthy development of platform economic norms.

The Jiangbei District Market Supervision Bureau said that it will further urge online takeaway platforms to perform their main responsibilities and effectively protect the food safety of consumer online ordering services and the legitimate rights and interests of food delivery workers.
