When Zhan Caifang was born, there were already several brothers and sisters on the top, and their family was very large, so for Zhan Caifang's parents, the economic pressure was also very large. The farmers of that time were not like the farmers of our present, and our current farmers were very relaxed in farming.
Because it is basically mechanized, there is no need for people to do farm work personally, and we still have the support of the state, often issuing agricultural subsidies, etc. At Zhan Caifang's time, not only did the state have no subsidies, but the peasants at that time were also oppressed by the landlords, so such a large family, for Zhan Caifang's parents, it was very difficult to support, so Zhan Caifang's parents could only do farm work desperately.
However, it was because of his desperate work and work that he damaged the body of his parents, so Zhan Caifang's mother died when Zhan Caifang was seven years old. The departure of his mother is even worse for this suffering family, because the family's financial resources are only his father, and his father is not particularly good because of his perennial labor.
So Zhan Caifang's sensible sisters went out every day to pick wild vegetables and mushrooms to subsidize the family. Once, Zhan Caifang's sister picked some wild vegetables she didn't know outside. When I got home, I began to cook for everyone to eat, and Zhan Caifang's family had long been accustomed to eating wild vegetables, so there was nothing unaccustomed to.
When it came time to eat, everyone gathered around the table and began to eat, and at that time, Zhan Caifang did not eat because of stomach pain, did not want to eat, it was this action, let him save a life, because the wild vegetables picked back were poisonous, Zhan Caifang's father and second sister were poisoned after eating this wild vegetables, so the young Zhan Caifang lost his father and second sister after losing his mother.
Throw yourself into the revolution
Zhan Caifang, who had lost his relatives, was taken to the home of his eldest sister, and his eldest sister and brother-in-law were very kind to him, and even taught him to read and write, that is, during this period, Zhan Caifang began to have the idea of going out and wandering. So Zhan Caifang went to Wuhan Middle School and became a school worker, that is, it was here that he met Dong Biwu, one of the founders of the Later Communist Party of China, and came into contact with Marxist ideas, which also affected Zhan Caifang's life.
After Zhan Caifang met Dong Biwu, he began to obey Dong Biwu's arrangement and returned to his hometown to spread the seeds of revolution in the schools in his hometown. He also led the local poor peasants in their struggle against the landlord class and created the Peasants' Self-Defense Army. This also marked the first step in Zhan Caifang's revolutionary career.
In 1927, Zhan Caifang successfully joined the Communist Party of China, after joining the party organization, he began to lead the peasant self-defense army he founded to participate in the jute uprising, during this period, he encountered dangers countless times, but Zhan Caifang relied on his own wisdom every time, successfully defused various dangers, that is, the excellent performance in the jute uprising, so that the party organization saw Zhan Caifang's ability.
Later, Zhan Caifang was arranged to join the main force of the Red Army, and he was also appointed as the battalion commander of the 31st Division of the 11th Army of the Red Army and the political commissar. Later, during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Zhan Caifang was also appointed deputy commander and chief of staff of the Third Military Subdistrict of the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region.
Awarding the title of lieutenant general is admirable
