The founding major general was regarded as a counter-revolutionary, he wrote four words, and the leader said that there was no problem!

History has its own life, it is like a person, both easy-going and self-respecting. ——Yu Qiuyu

The reason why founding lieutenant general Zhan Caifang is highly respected, in addition to his seniority, there is another important reason, that is, he is helpful, just the people who were saved by him, there are Xu Shiyou, Chen Xilian, You Taizhong and other founding generals.

The founding major general Gan Sihe introduced today also survived because of Zhan Caifang.

The founding major general was regarded as a counter-revolutionary, he wrote four words, and the leader said that there was no problem!

Gan Sihe was born in 1915 in Hong'an County, Hubei Province, joined the Red Army at the age of 15, because he had studied for two years, he was arranged in the Quartermaster Office of the Red Fourth Front, and later became a clerk of the Red 31 Army Headquarters, when the political commissar of the 31st Army was Zhan Caifang.

However, Gan Sihe never imagined that he would almost die at the hands of his own people.

It turned out that at that time, during the period of purge and expansion, Gan Sihe was unfortunately put on a "counter-revolutionary" hat and imprisoned.

However, Gan Sihe also had to thank this flying disaster, allowing him to meet his own nobleman, Zhan Caifang.

After hearing about it, Zhan Caifang, the political commissar of the 31st Army, personally came to the Security Bureau to investigate the situation, and after a conversation with Gan Sihe, Zhan Caifang concluded that Gan Sihe could not betray the revolution, so he had a plan, so he gave him a look and asked him if he could write.

Gan Sihe was also a wise man, and immediately wrote down four big words: "Long live the Red Army", so that he not only replied that he could write and was literate, but also showed his loyalty to the Red Army, Zhan Caifang pushed the boat along the water, smiled and said that he just lacked a guard, so he took Gan Sihe away.

It was under zhan Caifang's leadership that Gan Sihe's revolutionary road was on the right track, from a guard to a combat staff officer, and after the outbreak of the all-out War of Resistance, Gan Sihe had been promoted to confidential secretary and director of the General Affairs Department of the Political Department of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army.

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Gan Sihe was active in the southern Hebei region for a long time, participating in the Battle of Niangziguan, the Battle of the Hundred Regiments, and so on, and led the military and people in the base areas of Southern Hebei to break the great sweep and cage blockade of the Japanese Kou.

During the liberation war, Gan Sihe was still stationed in the southern Hebei region, and the last stronghold of the Kuomintang army in southern Hebei, Yongnian County, was retaken by Gan Sihe.

Back in the summer of 1947, the Kuomintang army had long been defeated in the southern Hebei region, while the remnants of the pseudo-garrison, bandit armed forces, and more than 2,500 local returning regiments were still cowering in the county seat of Yongnian, trying to rely on strong fortifications to resist.

In order to avoid excessive casualties, Liu Bocheng personally issued instructions to adopt a strategy of "long-term siege" to deal with the remnants of the enemy. So, how do you do it? Gansihe had an idea - to build an outer city!

To put it simply, it is to build another circle of walls on the outskirts of Yongnian County, don't you come out? Then never come out!

This trick is indeed fierce enough, but there is also a problem, that is, the amount of work is too large. But Gan Sihe said he would do it, and under his mobilization, he mobilized a total of more than 200,000 people in 5 counties around Yongnian County, which lasted for 3 months, and finally built a 45-mile-long wall!

In order to completely block the enemy's retreat, Gan Sihe also specially invited explosives experts to lay mines around the city wall.

At first, the remnants of the enemy hiding in Yongnian County could still rely on Lao Jiang's airdrop materials to persist, but after a long time, the supply of materials could not keep up, and they could only stare wide-eyed. It lasted until September, when the remnants of the enemy could not survive after all, and they wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to break through under the pretext of surrender.

At that time, although Gan Sihe was seriously ill, he saw through the enemy's attempt at a glance and immediately ordered to strengthen his vigilance and strictly prevent a breakthrough. Sure enough, that night, the enemy soldiers scattered in several ways to break through, and our army, because it had long been fully prepared, solved the battle in only a few hours, and the county seat of Yongnian was also liberated.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Gan Sihe successively served as the political commissar of the special forces of the North China Military Region, the political commissar of the artillery, and the director of the cadre department of the Political Department of the Beijing Military Region, and was awarded the rank of major general in 1955.

On October 26, 1988, Gan Sihe died of illness at the age of 73.
