Lu Deming is a native of Zigong, Sichuan, who has been talented since childhood, and his family hopes that he will take the road of business and honor his ancestors.
At the age of 16, he was admitted to the famous Sichuan university - Chengdu Public School, to continue his studies, when the new culture of the school prevailed, the communist trend of thought also spread in the school, Lu Deming said to his classmates: "China wants to be strong, it is necessary to overthrow the great powers, resist the enemy with force, and unify the internal force, there is no other way." ”
Later, after hearing that the Whampoa Military Academy began to enroll, Lu Deming came thousands of miles away, but at this time, the examination period had passed, and the second batch of Huangpu cadets had begun a tense military training life.
Lu Deming asked whether he could make up the exam and insert the team, but the school refused.
After several efforts, he found Xie Huisheng and Lu Siti, a fellow Sichuan compatriot and member of the Old League, and finally met Sun Yat-sen under the recommendation of the two compatriots.
Sun Yat-sen took the letter of recommendation handed over, looked up at Lu Deming again, and asked: "You are going to apply for the Whampoa Military Academy, have you been to Whampoa?" ”

Lu Deming got his wish and was assigned to the Whampoa Military Academy's second-term heavy troops to study in the team, he cherished this hard-won opportunity, excellent performance, when Sun Yat-sen came to inspect the school, Chiang Kai-shek specially introduced his performance, saying that he would be a general in the future.
After graduation, Lu Deming successively participated in the Eastern Expedition and the Northern Expedition, and all the way was like a bamboo, sharp and unstoppable.
On August 1, 1927, the Nanchang Uprising broke out, and Lu Deming led more than 2,000 officers and soldiers down the river in Wuhan by boat to Jiujiang, and on August 9, they arrived at the county seat of Fengxin near Xinchang.
The Nanchang uprising troops had already withdrawn on August 3, Zhang Fakui sent two more regiments to encircle and suppress Lu Deming's troops, Lu Deming drove the troops to Xiushui and expanded them into divisions, he quickly found the Hunan Provincial Party Committee to report the situation, and at the same time received instructions to assist the great man to launch the autumn harvest uprising.
In the Autumn Harvest Uprising, the great man was the secretary of the Committee of Former Enemies, and Lu Deming served as the commander-in-chief, becoming his first military revolutionary partner.

Under the dangerous situation, in order to reduce the level of command and make the combat transfer of the troops more active and flexible, the chairman and Lu Deming reorganized the troops in Wenjia City and convened a front committee in a timely manner to decide on the future direction of the troops.
At the previous committee, two views emerged.
One holds that now that the enemy is strong and we are weak, we can no longer fight Changsha, and we should transfer our troops to the vast rural mountainous areas in the middle of the Luoxiao Mountains to preserve the revolutionary forces and create rural base areas.
Another holds that it is wrong to resolutely carry out the instructions of the provincial party committee to attack Changsha and retreat to the countryside without a way out.
Lu Deming firmly supported the first opinion, coupled with his high prestige, the opinions at the meeting were slowly unified, and the resolution quickly marched towards the Luoxiao Mountains to create a rural base area.
On September 20, the rebel troops marched to Jinggangshan, and on the way, they were ambushed by Zhu Peide's special agent battalion, and in order to cover the retreat of the troops and protect the safety of the chairman, Lu Deming unfortunately died at the age of 22.
After the founding of New China, the party and the state did not forget this general who sacrificed his life for the revolution.
In September 1983, on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of Lu Deming's sacrifice, the Pingxiang Municipal Party Committee of Jiangxi Province of the Communist Party of China built a monument at lu Deming's martyrdom site, with the obverse carved "Lu Deming Martyrs Monument" inscribed by General Yang Dezhi in 8 large characters.
