Beijing, December 11, 2021 (Reporter Ying Ni) The 2021 Yanghua newly created repertoire and classic drama performance collection "You and Me, The Wonderful Seven Steps of the Theater" completed its public welfare premiere at the Shunyi Grand Theater in Beijing on the evening of the 10th. Seven fragments of classic drama works by playwright Cao Yu and Wan Fang's father and daughter are integrated into a unique stage chapter that touches the heartstrings.

"You and I" is a book by Cao Yu's daughter Wan Fang recalling her father's generation, "You and I" represents the father and the child, the past and the present, the classic and the present, the drama and the audience; step, is the pursuit of the pace of development of drama, "step" and "part" harmonic, the seven steps of the theater is the integration of measurement action and works. The play is composed by the drama, director Wang Keran and literary consultant Wan Fang jointly selected 4 classic plays of Cao Yu, plus 3 fragments of Wan Fang's plays, 7 fragments are both independent chapters and echo each other, 7 drama fragments are interpreted in the same stage set, forming a complete dramatic work.

The repertoire opens in a modern environment and plot: as the stage unfolds, Cao Yu and WanFang's plays fragments "Winter Journey", "Wilderness", "New Wilderness", "Beijinger", "Sunrise", "Do You Still Play Guitar?" "Thunderstorm" is presented on the stage in turn. The famous host Zhang Yue, as a special "magic" actor on the stage, represents both the future and the creator, and is also a unique partner representing the "people in the play", which makes you and me, the audience and the characters, works and stage present a wonderful integration. The whole play is tightly paced and cleverly structured, which is both independent and completely composed, and vividly outlines a spiritual picture that tells the Chinese of modern times.
