On May 17, 1945, this day was the 35th birthday of Fu Baoshi's wife, Luo Shihui. At that time, Fu Baoshi's family lived in Jingangpo, Chongqing. Remembering the six years since entering Shu, the situation was turbulent, and Fu Baoshi had mixed feelings, so he drew "For Luo Shihui to Make a Picture of a Lady of Liu Yin" and inscribed more than 400 words of long treks.
He wrote: "Yu took a hard body, avoided dongchuan, his mother-in-law Mrs. Li came, and everything in wartime was extremely exciting, and my generation still did not waste pen and ink Danqing, and lived only enough to shelter from the wind and rain... Fortunately, ShiHui endured the ninja who could not be tolerated. He was also grateful to his wife for having children, "The pain of feeding, Shi Hui renzhi, Yu Zhizhi sewing for Lotus." ”

"Liu Yin Lady Picture for Luo Shihui" is the leading work of the Chinese calligraphy and painting section of this season's Poly Autumn Auction. According to Yin Huajie, artistic director of Chinese calligraphy and painting at Beijing Poly Auction, the source and creation of this painting are very meaningful.
Fu Baoshi was born into a family of umbrella repairers. He was passionate about Jinshi calligraphy and painting, and from an early age he showed a superb talent in art. In 1927, he was working as a teacher at Jiangxi Provincial No. 1 Middle School, when Luo Shihui was a teenager and was his student.

Unlike Fu Baoshi, who was born slightly cold, Luo Shihui is a big girl, talented and intelligent, and also has a high artistic accomplishment. Fu Baoshi was a xinyu from Jiangxi, and when he was teaching at the provincial no. 1 Middle School, he rented an ear room in Luo Shihui's family. The teacher-student relationship gives them more opportunities to engage. The young girls' admiration for talented teachers brought them together.
In 1930, Fu Baoshi married Luo Shihui, who was 20 years old and Fu Baoshi 27 years old. At that time, he had already made a name for himself in the painting world, and under the sponsorship of the celebrity Xu Beihong and other celebrities in the painting world, he had the opportunity to study abroad. Newly married Yan'er, the couple embarked on a journey of negative Dongying.

In 1935, Fu Baoshi returned to China due to his mother's illness and was invited by Xu Beihong to teach at the Art Department of Nanjing Central University. When the Anti-Japanese War broke out, the family was displaced, and in 1939, they settled slightly in Jingangpo, Chongqing. After living in Jingangpo for 6 years, by 1945, Fu Baoshi remembered that his wife was 35 years old, and they already had four children. He recalled the past, sighed with emotion, and felt that the most sorry person in this life was his wife. Because after getting married, Luo Shihui has been at home with her husband and children, sacrificing her ideal career and dedicating everything to the family. Therefore, in the long trek on this painting, Fu Baoshi wrote down the hardships of wartime life and endless love and gratitude for his wife.
"Now we summarize the highest peak of Fu Baoshi's artistic achievements, that is, the Jingangpo period, that is, between 1939 and 1947. Especially after 1942, his works went through the era of fengshen gods, and by 1945, his figure paintings had reached the highest level. Fu Baoshi created "Liu Yin Shi Female Figure for Luo Shihui" with a grateful and sincere heart, which can be said to be full of emotion and technique. It is reported that this painting has been preserved in Fu Baoshi's home. After Fu Baoshi's death, Luo Shihui once temporarily stored all of Fu Baoshi's classic masterpieces in the Nanjing Museum. Later, in order to better carry forward Fu Baoshi's art, most of these works remained in Nanbo, and the children only selected 33 photos from them as souvenirs, and "Painting a Lady of Liuyin for Luo Shihui" is one of them. Yin Huajie revealed that the painting was later returned to his family from Nanbo and was brought to Hong Kong by his descendants more than a decade ago, this time it was the first appearance of "For Luo Shihui to Make a Picture of a Lady of Liu Yin".
In Yin Huajie's view, this painting can be compared with the Italian Renaissance leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. If the Mona Lisa represents a model of Western portraiture, "A Picture of a Lady of Willow Shade for Luo Shihui" can be called the guise of Oriental figure painting. "It's just that the art of the East has not yet been widely recognized around the world. With the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, with everyone's further understanding of Chinese art, such a great work will surely show its due status and value. ”
"Ding Wei Splash" blends freehand and realism, East and West
At the preview site, another work that has attracted the attention of collectors, Zhang Daqian's "Ding Wei Splash Color", was painted in 1967 by Mr. Daqian for his late friend Wang Xinheng as a birthday gift for his 60th birthday. This painting is on a gold note, with Daqian's unique splashing ink splashing method, which does not see the brush and ink imagery of traditional Chinese landscape painting, and is almost close to Western abstract painting. Deep in the mountains, the majestic emerald green quality is refreshing. Yin Huajie introduced that Zhang Daqian has several friends in Taiwan, called "three Zhang and one king". This group of friends can talk about art, culture, and even more about food. Because Zhang Daqian is very obsessed with food, he once painted many of the most classic famous articles for Bai Yongji, the "first chef in Beiping", which was because of "eating". Yin Huajie: Poly is one of the top auction companies in the industry, and our lots contain the artistic masterpieces of the top painters in the past century. In the past, I could always go overseas every year to collect, and I can say that I ran all over the world, but now this form is no longer possible. This is the biggest negative impact of the epidemic on us.
I think that's the case in every industry, and we all have deep experiences. But we can't sit still and be complacent, we still have to go out.
Under the epidemic situation, how to open up the channel with the outside world? We do do a lot of work in that regard. Fortunately, now is an Internet era, an information age, there are many new media, new bridges for information communication, which makes up for the lack of the epidemic. At the same time, we have opened an online auction and a synchronous auction. In the collection, our offices around the world have played a huge role, enabling us to establish a new type of communication with collectors around the world through this new form.
