Chen Zhenggao is a 77-year-old native of Longbao Village (formerly Bayi Village) in Longshan Town, Cangxi County, and his wife Yang Mother-in-law have 3 children, but they all work outside the home.
On November 15, Grandma Yang told Red Star News that at about 7 p.m. on the 5th, because she was seriously ill, her wife Chen Zhenggao would go to her mother's house to report the news.
"My whole body was shaking, and I asked my wife not to go, but he didn't listen. Later, my nephew said to send him on a motorcycle, and he thought it was cold to ride a motorcycle, so he insisted on walking. Grandma Yang said.
Yang Mother-in-law introduced that her mother's family is in the same town's fenshui village, a distance of 3 kilometers, along the way are mostly roads. At about 8 p.m. that night, the nephew of the mother's family called Grandma Yang, saying that Chen Zhenggao had reported the letter and asked about her condition on the way home.
But by the next morning, his wife hadn't come home, and he couldn't use his cell phone or bring it. He usually likes to pick up garbage, I have looked for many places, asked relatives and friends, no news. Mother Yang, whose condition has improved, said that in desperation, she went to the police station to report to the police, and the local police station looked around for no results.
Yang's mother-in-law said that Chen Zhenggao had Alzheimer's disease and occasionally had seizures. After many fruitless days of searching, she told her three children working outside the home, and it is expected that tomorrow, the three children will return home.

On November 9, the Longshan Squadron of the Cangxi County Red Cross Rescue Brigade joined the search for the elderly. Captain Zhu Chengchun told the Red Star News reporter on the 15th that they organized more than 40 people and searched for 4 consecutive days, but there was no trace of Chen Zhenggao.
Zhu Chengchun introduced that after receiving the report, the local police station inquired about the monitoring along the line, only to find that at about 10 p.m. on the 5th, the old man came out of the fenshui village and returned to the direction of home, and then disappeared.

"Surveillance shows that at about 9 p.m. that night, Chen Zhenggao sat down at the door of a farmer's house to rest, got up and showed signs of falling, and then rested for more than ten minutes before leaving." Zhu Chengchun introduced that the search team found the old man's relatives, went to the waste collection station that the old man often went, and searched for a three-kilometer radius, searching in rivers, ravines, pigsty and other places, but there has been no news so far.
