Hearing that our army's next target of attack was Weixian County, Kong Qingsan's company commander took him to the outskirts of Weixian County to sort out the firing boundaries and clear the obstacles. Kong Qingsan wondered, the trees within a few kilometers of the outer area of Weixian County had been cut down, and what obstacles needed to be destroyed with artillery fire?
After taking the position, Kong Qingsan understood that what needed to be destroyed was not an obstacle, but a series of smoke-filled houses! This village was the place where Kong Qingsan had been stationed not long ago, kong Qingsan treated them like his parents, and how could he bear to brutally smash the deadly shells on their heads, so he hit the shells in the field. Afterwards, the company commander discovered Kong Qingsan's small movements, and he was beaten and scarred. That night, he took a rifle full of bullets and tried to escape, but unfortunately he was caught and beaten to death on the spot.
Fortunately, Weixian was soon liberated by our army, and Kong Qingsan was also liberated, and he voluntarily joined the People's Liberation Army. Kong Qingsan became more and more courageous in the battle, and this fighting style was brought to the battlefield of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea.
In November 1950, the United Nations forces, led by U.S. troops, launched the "Christmas Offensive" in an attempt to end the war before Christmas. In order to strengthen the attack from Chosin Lake to jiangjie, Almond, commander of the US 10th Army deployed on the eastern front, ordered part of the US Seventh Division to enter the Xinxingli area to take over the defense of the US First Marine Division, while protecting the flank of the 1st Marine Division that continued to advance northward. The 242nd Regiment of the 80th Division and the 81st Division was tasked with attacking American forces in the Xinxingli area. By this time, the battle under the mountain had begun, they were already late, and the later this side opened fire, the greater the pressure on the volunteers under the mountain. Impatient, they carried hundreds of pounds of artillery parts on the hill, because the running speed was so fast that no one could stop when they went downhill, Kong Qingsan and his comrades simply tied the artillery parts to their bodies and rolled down the mountain. However, this matter was obviously not within the scope of Kong Qingsan's consideration, and he led his comrades to push the set up artillery into the gun position, but they faced new problems.
