"Please lose it, take a chicken in the month, wait for the next year, and then it has been." 'If we know that it is unjust, and that it is already over, why wait for the next year?' ”

(3) Rǎnɡ): Theft.

Dai Yingzhi said: "The land rent is levied at a rate of one percent, exempt from taxes on checkpoints and markets, which cannot be done this year, so let us reduce it first, wait until the next year, and then fully implement it. ”

Mencius said: "Now there is a man who steals a neighbor's chicken every day, and someone tells him: 'This is not a gentleman's practice.' He said, 'Please let me cut it down a bit, steal a chicken a month, wait until the next year, and then correct it completely.' If you know that the practice is not moral, you should quickly change it completely, why wait until the next year? ”
