Every time he went to a country, he tirelessly preached the "royal way" and "benevolent government" to the monarchs of various countries and opposed "hegemony." In the midst of war, countries fear that before the implementation of benevolent government can be effective, they may be destroyed by other countries, so they are not prepared to do what he says. In the face of distrust, "So, not far away, there will be Eli my country?" (Mencius, King Hui of Liang) the later generations abandoned the book and sighed; In the face of confusion, "Outsiders call the master a good argument, dare to ask why?" If king Qi changed his attitude, he would definitely summon me back. I walked out of the day and the King of Qi did not come to chase me back, and then I had the idea of returning to my hometown. Mencius lobbied everywhere, but not many people really practiced his political ideas, and it can be said that they hit walls everywhere. However, his ideals of "royal way" and "benevolent government" were applied and promoted in Tengguo. Teng Wengong was the son of the world, "he has not tasted the knowledge of the day, good horse to test the sword", the father and the old hundred officials are not optimistic about the world's son, worried that he will not be able to take on a heavy responsibility. In the face of the tigers of the surrounding Qi, Chu and other big countries, as well as the worries of the fathers and elders in the country, Shizi knew that he was insufficient and rose up, changed his past clumsy style, pushed sincerity, and visited Mencius many times. "Chu Zhi Chu, pass through the Song and see Mencius" "Self-Chu rebellion, see Mencius again" seek a way to govern the country, and resolutely shoulder the Jiangshan Sheji.

During the Tengguo period, Mencius received the courtesy he deserved, and in addition to the treatment in life, what was more important was that Teng Wengong and Mencius lived day and night, respectfully and sincerely listened to Mencius's royal thoughts, and truly achieved "greeting, paying tribute, and being courteous; Words will be done in deeds also.". Mencius's teaching of Teng Wengong was also entirely from the position of the elders teaching Haidi, with the sincerity of the teacher, teaching him the study of self-cultivation, and cultivating his inner saint style as a human king, as far as possible to enlighten Teng Shizi's own wisdom and determination, encouraging him not to doubt, take courage, take on the major affairs of the country, govern teng guo into a supremely good country, and set an example for the world.

Teng Wengong did not live up to Mencius's teachings, nor did he live up to his own virtue of being a king. In accordance with Mencius's teaching that "government is in the people", the king of the Fa Xian, the benevolent government, and the shi shan sect drew a complete grand plan for teng guo of the "good country" of noble people, rich people, religious people, and happy people, so that Teng Guo was outstanding above the ten princes of Sishang. This cannot but be said to be a historical miracle, and this miracle was jointly created by Teng Wengong and Mencius.

Among mencius' proud disciples in life, Teng Wengong should be regarded as the first of them. The friendship between the two is described in the book Mencius.

First, Teng Wengong's younger brother Teng Geng studied under Mencius, but Mencius did not answer his inquiries much, and Gongduzi felt very puzzled, and Mencius said: "I will not answer them if they ask with merit and friendship, and Teng even takes two of them." As an expert and scholar of the Hundred Schools of Thought, Professor Shi Wei has published academic monographs such as "The Biography of Mencius", "The Biography of Zengzi", "The Biography of Confucius the Most Holy", and "Annotated Interpretation of the I Ching".
