Yang's talk is the principle of 'for me', which is called not taking the monarch seriously; Mo's is talking about the truth of 'both love', which is called not taking the father seriously. There is no father in the eyes, there is no king in the eyes, this is a beast. Gong Mingyi said, 'There is fat in the kitchen, and there are fat horses in the stables; but the people have hungry faces, and there are starving corpses in the fields, which is leading the beasts to eat people.' If the teachings of Yang and Mo are not destroyed, the teachings of Confucius cannot be carried forward, and this is the absurd doctrine deceiving the people and blocking the road of benevolence and righteousness. The blocking of the path of benevolence is tantamount to leading beasts to eat people, and people are killing each other. I was worried about this, so I defended the teachings of the ancient sages, resisted Yang and Mo, refuted exaggerated remarks, and prevented those who published fallacies from rising. All kinds of fallacies arise from the heart, which hinder action; if they hinder action, they also hinder politics. If the saints rise up again, they will not abandon my words.
"Once upon a time, Yu quelled the flood and the world was at peace, the Duke of Zhou annexed Yidi, drove away the beasts and the people were at peace, and Confucius became a rebellious courtier and rebellious son in the Spring and Autumn Period. The Book of Verses says, "Rong Di is to be guarded against, and Jing Shu is to be severely punished, then no one can resist me." 'There is no father in sight and no king in sight, which is guarded against by the Duke of Zhou.
