Partial sentence interpretation of Mencius's Teng Wen Gongxia

Mencius said: "Dwelling in the world, establishing the right position under the world, walking the road under the world; gaining aspirations, and the people are by them; not having aspirations, and walking alone." Rich and noble cannot be adulterous, poor and lowly cannot be moved, and mighty cannot be bent, which is called a big husband. ”

The meaning of this passage is probably:

To attain the will is to be for the people, which means to share with the people, serve the people, and do things.

If you are not willing, then walk your own way. When you are not ambitious, be alone and follow the principles of your own life.
