He has voiced characters in more than 200 translated films, and his thick magnetic voice is considered to be the "voice with the most sense of justice"; he has been fighting cancer for nearly 40 years, and has always insisted on preaching the beauty of reading and Chinese, believing that Chinese Chinese is the most beautiful language in the world; he uses his own voice to interpret truth, goodness and beauty for the audience, and is known as the "master of sound carving"...

On October 13th, Qiao Hao, a famous performing artist, dubbing master and national first-class actor, made a guest appearance in the second season of the high-end cultural forum "Everyone Says", bringing an exchange and dialogue entitled "Life, Art, Family Style, Ancestral Training" to the audience.

The dubbing art is "word and sentence, soul re-shaping"

Born in 1942, Qiao Hao is an authentic Shanghainese. He revealed that the Qiao family had a family origin and had produced talented officials and eunuchs throughout the ages, because at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, an ancestor named Qiao Qi was sent from Shangqiu, Henan to Songjiang as a prefect, and since then the entire family has come to the south.

What even he did not understand was that his grandfather Qiao Nianchun was a patriotic entrepreneur during the Republic of China, and there were many shipyards and shipyards built by him on the Huangpu River, and he also took in thousands of street children and orphans, taught them culture, helped them master skills, and could survive in society. Qiao Hao said that he still saw an expert article written by an expert a few years ago, and only then did he know about his grandfather's glorious past, "I am very excited in my heart, I really want to learn from him." ”

Qiao Hazel, who has loved literature and art since childhood, graduated from the acting department of the Shanghai Theater Academy in 1965, entered the Shanghai Film Studio as an actor in the same year, and formed a lifelong friendship with Yang Zaibao, who was transferred to the Shanghai Film Studio in the same year and became popular for filming "The Young Generation". In 1970, Qiao Hao was seconded to the Shanghai Film Translation Factory to work as a dubbing artist. The first work he participated in dubbing was the song and dance romance "Red Diamond" directed by the famous British director Michael Powell. Since then, he has officially embarked on the road of dubbing, and has been gone for more than 50 years.

In the translation factory, Qiao Hazel used his voice to create a vivid and different character for the audience: the British officer Roy in "Soul Breaking the Blue Bridge", the aristocratic leader of the Roman Senate in "Spartacus", the comedic little character Injiro in "The Story of Injiro", the photojournalist Robert in "The Dream of the Covered Bridge"... He has loved dubbing all his life and believes that he is very lucky as a voice actor, "because he can get involved in the life path of so many characters, and he can taste different understandings of life from these strange characters." ”

"The set of work processes summarized by the older generation of translators is first-class in the translation of film industry in the world." Qiao Hao was very proud of the cause of the Shanghai Film Translation Factory that he had participated in and led, calling it "the re-shaping of the soul by careful words and sentences". This proverb was later engraved in the halls of the translation studio, continuing to lead his descendants where he struggled all his life.

Since his career, Qiao Hao has made films, acted in dramas, and recited many works. He also won the honors of "100 Outstanding Artists of Chinese 100-year Films", the 14th National Deyi Shuangxin Lifetime Achievement Award, and the "Chinese Voice Lifetime Achievement Award" of the Chinese Culture Promotion Association. "I'm 80 years old now, and I still have dreams and visions," Qiao Hao told the audience, "I hope that everyone can get old, do something, have fun in old age, and continue to work hard to do what we should do." ”

"Words that flow naturally from the heart are the most touching"

Despite his fruitful career, Qiao Hao's life has not been smooth: he has suffered four cancer attacks, eight narrow encounters with death, and has experienced many misunderstandings and mental sufferings of others. But looking back, he still thinks he's very lucky and very happy, "because I've been doing something I love very much all my life, having a very happy family, and having an audience that loves me so much." ”

Qiao Hao and Tang Guomei, who is a Zhongruan player, just celebrated the golden wedding anniversary not long ago, and the two have a son. Qiao Hazel's family has been awarded the honorary title of "Five Good Families" at the district and municipal levels five times. The words and deeds of the two people have laid a solid foundation for the growth and education of their sons and even the third generation.

When Qiao Hazel suffered from the blow of illness and mental suffering, Tang Guomei has always been a strong backing guarding his side. "She always said, I'm a woman with a traditional philosophy, and it's all I should do, and he (Joe Hazel) deserves it." Every time he thinks of this, Qiao Hazel is deeply moved, and the firm love between the two of them is in agreement and lasts for a long time, which can also be said to provide a model for modern people to love and a harmonious family.

Qiao Hao said that his motto in life is "Cheng Huai Guan Dao", which means "to cleanse your soul and selfish thoughts, in order to practice the way of life and the way of art." The first time he read this sentence from the Six Dynasties painter Zong Bing's talk about the aesthetics of landscapes, he felt that it was particularly in line with his own outlook on life.

First of all, it is necessary to do a good job of "people", which makes Qiao Hazel often think of his grandfather and father. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, his grandfather was retaliated by the Japanese soldiers for building a memorial tower for national salvation in Minhang, and all the factories and family properties were burned, and his grandfather died of depression; his father, a mechanical engineer, had been teaching him to "be innocent and do things honestly" in successive movements. These family trainings cultivated a temperament of a "Shanghainese" who was both elegant and meticulous and thoughtful, and paid attention to principles in Qiao Hazel, and even his wife Tang Guomei often followed others to praise him as a "confucian and elegant big husband".

Whether it is dubbing work or interaction with the audience, Qiao Hazel believes in the natural flow and natural fusion of spiritual perception: "I analyzed the characters and works thoroughly, felt through them, and became my own things, and then there was an impulse to express his words, and then the words that flowed out naturally would make the audience move with me." ”

It is precisely because of his persistent pursuit of the soul of art that Qiao Hao continues to receive spiritual nourishment in the dubbing and reading art, and strives to share this nourishment with the audience. This kind of sincerity and nature made many viewers feel the resonance of life perception and artistic creation concept.

The second season of "Everyone Says" is a high-end cultural forum jointly sponsored by the National Foreign Cultural Exchange Research Base, the Propaganda Department of the Minhang District Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Shanghai International Cultural Society, which will invite representatives from music, dance, architecture, dubbing, Chinese painting, traditional Chinese studies, medicine, current politics and other fields to share speeches, show the beauty of life and humanities, and light up Shanghai's urban soft power.
