A set of pictures of Tang Dynasty costumes

With the passage of time, Wang Zhizhuo's life has become blurred. However, his lyrical and radiant verses still burst out of his high light in rock and roll, and it is also our youth, our pain, our love, and the emotions and tones that have been pervading since the Tang Dynasty to this day.

(1) Hormonal rock poets

In 2016, the famous American rock singer Bob Dylan won the Nobel Prize in Literature. He was awarded because the Nobel Jury considered him a poet in addition to being a singer. There's nothing unusual about that poets and rock singers have a natural fit.

No, thirteen hundred years ago, we had a big poet in Datang, and also a rock singer who sang the whole country.

He is wang zhizhuo. His most famous concert was held on the Stork Tower, which was even more famous than him.

Located in the west of the ancient city of Puzhou in Yongji City, Shanxi, the Stork Que Lou "looks forward to the middle strip and overlooks the great river." It stands on the east bank of the Yellow River, looks at the Zhongtiao Mountains in front of it, overlooks the mighty river, and is listed as one of the four famous buildings in China with its majestic and magnificent posture (the other three are the Yellow Crane Tower in Wuchang, the Yueyang Tower in Dongting, and the Tengwang Pavilion in Nanchang).

One spring night one thousand three hundred and eighty-six years ago, the red lights on the Stork Tower were hanging high, the torches of the Yellow River Valley below the Stork Were flying, and a thirty-five-year-old young poet, like today's crazy rock stars, roared hysterically:

The day runs by the mountains, and the Yellow River flows into the sea. Want to go to the next level.

It's just that instead of shouting with a guitar in his arms, he wields a long sword and rocks.

Fans danced and looked up at the singer on the roof, and as his hormones sprayed on the roof, the fans' hormones were also activated and boiled in the Yellow River Valley.

Wang Zhizhuo was not the first Tang Dynasty singer to climb the Stork Tower, which, like the Beijing Bird's Nest today, is a sacred place where all Tang poetry masters want to try their singing voices.

Previously, the poet Li Yi had a concert on it, and left a hot song "With Cui Ying Deng Stork Tower":

Stork Tower West 100 feet tree, Tingzhou cloud trees are vast. The Han family drums empty water, and the Wei Guoshan River is half sunset.

Things go away for a thousand years, and a day of sorrow is long. Wind and smoke and thoughts and look back, far from the spring also hurt themselves.

The poet Chang Dang also held concerts on it, and also left a hot song with the same name as Wang Zhizhuo, "Climbing the Stork and Bird Building":

On the birds, high above the world. The sky surrounds the plains, and the river flows into the broken mountain.

But since Wang Zhizhuo held a concert on it, no singer still had the courage to apply for a concert on the Stork Tower, because Wang Zhizhuo's "Climbing the Stork And bird tower" was not only recognized as the immortal singing of the stork tower, but also known as the tang Dynasty's five-word poem.

At that time, music critics once commented on Wang Zhizhuo's song: The opening sound of this song has shrunk thousands of miles at hand, so that there is a trend of thousands of miles; and the afterglow can melt philosophy and scenery and situation seamlessly.

At that time, Wang Zhizhuo, dressed as a rock singer, was stripped of his official clothes because he was framed by others, and rocked on the avenue of Tang Shi for five years, and he was full of confidence in himself as a rock singer. He believes that he is a genius singer who can combine composing and singing, and he will be able to become a superstar with his special talent of bringing his own lyrics and songs, and he will certainly be able to live a glorious appearance in the land of Datang.

Because in the Tang Dynasty, poetry was not originally enshrined in elegant temples. The norm of its existence is to chant on various occasions. At that time in the Tang Dynasty, all aspects of people's daily lives needed to be sung and decorated: the old people met to sing poetry, friends gathered to sing poetry, farewell friends to sing poetry, travel to sing poetry, not to mention the time to talk about love and express ideals.

In addition, the Culture of the Tang Dynasty originally contained the blood of nomadic peoples. Nomads are born to sing and dance and like to rock on horseback. Therefore, the Tang people not only have the genes of nomads in their blood, but also the art of the Tang people also has the unrestrained style of the nomadic Hu people, and the Audience of the Tang Dynasty is naturally fascinated by rock singers like Wang Zhizhuo, who pull beards and wield long swords.

(2) Losing his official position because of a beautiful love
affair

So, how did Wang Zhizhuo get rid of the system and change from a government official to a rock singer?

Wang Zhizhuo was born in the famous and prestigious family of Taiyuan Wang. His fifth ancestor Wang Longzhi did the history of the Later Wei Prefecture, and his great-grandfather Wang Xin served as an Order of Anyi County after entering the Tang Dynasty.

When he was thirty-five years old and appointed as the chief bookkeeper of Hengshui in Jizhou (equivalent to the director of the county government office), because of "filial piety to the family, righteousness to friends, generosity and strategy, and a different talent" (that is, filial piety to parents at home, benevolence and righteousness outside the home, generosity and generosity, and a big heart, a gentleman, a gentleman, and a special talent), he was favored by the then county magistrate Li Di and married his third daughter to him.

When the two married, Wang Zhizhuo was married, seventeen years older than Li, and had children. However, the eighteen-year-old Li Shi, who was in the flower season, was not wronged, and also admired Wang Zhizhuo's talent and personality, and cared for him thoughtfully.

However, such a beautiful love caused the jealousy of his colleagues, coupled with Wang Zhizhuo's arrogant personality, some people framed and attacked him, saying that he often had disrespectful remarks toward the imperial court. The generous and upright Wang Zhizhuo originally did not look up to such a sesame mung bean official as the director of the county government office, and simply pushed the boat along the water, and resigned from the bird official with disdain, to become a person who broke away from low-level interests and benefited the people.

In the fifteen years since then, Li Shi has not abandoned and accompanied Wang Zhizhuo to live a life of poverty without complaint, and his love is as good as ever.

In fact, Wang Zhizhuo's level as an official is still quite good. When he was the head of the Wen'an County Public Security Bureau, he once solved a difficult murder.

One day, a village woman in her thirties went to the bureau to report that her in-laws had passed away, that her husband had been doing business outside for many years, and that she and her sister-in-law were the only ones living together. Last night, she went to a neighbor's house to mill wheat, and her sister-in-law was alone at home sewing and mending clothes. When she finished milling the wheat and came home, as soon as she stepped into the courtyard, she heard her sister-in-law shouting for help. She hurried into the house and bumped into a man at the door. The two of them fought and grabbed him a few times. But in the end, he was defeated and let the murderer escape. When she entered the room and looked at the lamp, the sister-in-law had a pair of scissors on her chest and was already dying of exhaustion.

Wang Zhizhuo asked, "Do you have a dog at home?" ”

The village woman replied, "There is a big yellow dog at home." But I didn't hear it bark last night. ”

"What an ungrateful, unruly beast!" Wang Zhizhuo said. He then instructed his police to go to the village woman's house to arrest the big yellow dog and post a notice saying that the dog would be publicly interrogated at the county town fair two days later.

Instead of investigating the murderer, but interrogating a dog, the local people thought that the public security chief named Wang Zhizhuo was incompetent and funny. After staying for two days, they all rushed to the lobby of the county public security bureau to watch this unprecedented novelty.

Only to see Wang Zhizhuo put on a police uniform and a sword, he ordered the police to invite the elderly, children and women who were watching the liveliness to the door, and only locked up a hundred or so young and middle-aged men in the house.

When only the lean men were left in the house, Wang Zhizhuan ordered them to strip off their shirts and stand facing the wall. He examined their backs one by one. A young man with a scratch on his back was arrested on the spot.

After solving the case, Wang Zhizhuo opened the door and explained to the onlookers: At the beginning, I judged that this was not an ordinary murder case, but a rape and murder case. And this kind of case is generally committed by young and middle-aged men. I learned that on the night of the crime, the yellow dog in the victim's home did not bark. From this I conclude that an acquaintance committed the crime. I also learned that the murderer was scratched on the back while wrestling with the victim's sister-in-law, so I deliberately caught the yellow dog for interrogation. The purpose is to arouse everyone's curiosity with such absurd behavior, and to make the murderer let down his guard and lure him to come to my lobby with everyone to watch the farce of the dog trial. Hey, today, the young man who had scratched his back couldn't resist the temptation and jumped into the trap I had laid.

The onlookers suddenly realized and gave a thumbs up.

(3) He sang the vigorous Sheng Tang dynasty to great splendor

In China, rock and roll does not go to the west, it seems that it is impossible to say. Whether Wang Zhizhuo has ever been to the western frontier, the historical records do not record. But I believe that when he rocked on the avenue of Tang Shi, he must have been on the road alone, running to the border plug journey that belonged to him, must have let the smoke and dust of the desert awaken the sleeping body and mind, and must have roared a domineering song on the lone journey of the west out of Yangguan.

Otherwise, he would not have been able to create the famous "Liangzhou Words":

The Yellow River is far above the white clouds, a lonely city of WanlingShan.

Qiang Di why should he complain about Yang Liu, the spring wind does not pass the jade door.

The song begins with the majestic desolation characteristic of the Biansai Mountains: the Yellow River is far away from the sky, and the Wanling Mountain surrounds an isolated city. The second half of the song changes from Yongjing to lyricism, touching the scenery and singing the complicated mood of the Shubian generals who have been living in an isolated city for a long time: Why should qiangdi play the song "Folding Willow" full of sorrows and farewells, ah, the spring wind will not blow outside the Yumen Border Pass (the Tang Dynasty people have the custom of folding willows to send farewell, and the Yumen Pass is desolate and cold, there is no spring, of course, there is no willow branch to fold).

This poem is an excellent illustration of the generous sadness of the frontier and the soldiers who are not allowed to return home. The mood is tragic and not sad, and the strongest tone of the Sheng Tang is sung with sound and color, which is considered to be a typical representative of the "Tang Yin", and is a typical Sheng Tang story: a Sheng Tang story about ambition, heroism, meritorious achievements and generous efforts.

This rock song, the song is very loud, the echo is very far, so that a thousand years later, Empress Dowager Cixi was also shocked by it.

Empress Dowager Cixi was particularly fond of Wang Zhizhuo's Liangzhou Ci. She once asked a minister to inscribe the poem on one of her beloved fans so that she could enjoy it at any time. The minister did not dare to be idle, and wrote carefully in the letter he had in his hand. Unexpectedly, due to nervousness, I accidentally wrote a "between" word.

Cixi only glanced at the fan presented by the chancellor, and then angrily rebuked: "Are you satirizing me that I have not read Wang Zhizhuo's Liangzhou Words?" Where is the word 'between the white clouds' far above the Yellow River? ”

The minister hurriedly knelt on his knees, and in the midst of the chaff in his body, he hurriedly excused himself for the crime of deceiving the king and killing his head: "How dare a slave?" The slave knew that Lafayette was already familiar with this "Liangzhou Word", so he wanted to change it into a word to make Lafayette happy. You see, remove that "room" and it becomes 'far above the Yellow River, a white cloud, and the lonely city of Wanlingshan.' Why should QiangDi complain? Willow spring wind, do not close the jade door. 'Isn't it something else?' ”

Cixi recited it several times to the fan, nodded her head and said yes, and turned her anger into joy to reward the minister.

Unfortunately, Wang Zhizhuo only left six rock poems in his lifetime, but this did not affect his greatness in the slightest. From this, I think of a passage:

It is said that there was a gathering of several big-name writers in the United States. Everyone introduced themselves and their works. Hemingway said that my name was Ernest Hemingway and wrote "The Old Man and the Sea," "The Snow of Kilimanjaro," and "Farewell, Weapon"; William Faulkner said that my name was William Faulkner, and Wrote "The Noise and the Commotion," "My Dying Time," and "Absalom, Absalom," Andrzalin; Fitzgerald said, my name was Fitzgerald, and I wrote "Paradise on Earth" and "The Great Gatsby"; Mark Twain said that my name was Mark Twain, and I wrote "Million Pounds Sterling," "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer." ......

Only one lady hid in a corner, smiling and listening, but not speaking.

The impatient Hemingway couldn't help but walk up to her and ask condescendingly, "May I ask this lady, what is your name?" What have you written? ”

The lady smiled and replied softly, "My name is Margaret Mitchell, and I wrote one word, and that is Gone with the Wind." ”

The faces of all the proud people were instantly wiped away by the word "fluttering" and immediately looked at each other and quieted down.

Gone with the Wind (also translated in China as Gone with the Wind) is a novel depicting the lives of Southerners before and after the American Civil War, and is an epic masterpiece that shows the vicissitudes of an era.

Wang Zhizhuo was the same, just by virtue of his seemingly plain and simple, unpolished "Climbing stork and bird building" and the spark of each word in "Liangzhou Words", he sang the vigorous Sheng Tang in one fell swoop.

How influential Wang Zhizhuo's rock and roll was in data, let's look at a famous story recorded in many historical materials - the flag pavilion painting wall.

It was an evening in the winter of the New Year, and the eastern capital of Luoyang began to fall lightly. It is the wonderful moment of "late to the day to snow, can drink a cup of nothing" (Bai Juyi's poem). Three bianxi poetry masters, Wang Changling, Gao Shi and Wang Zhizhuo, met to drink in a restaurant in the east of the city with a fine wine banner.

The three of them sat around the stove, stirred up the charcoal fire, and chatted while drinking. After a while, a ring of admiration jingled, and four beautiful singers, like swaying flowers, came out with pipa in their arms to sing for them.

Wang Zhizhuo's spirit moved, and he threw a fist at Wang Changling and Gao Shiyi, and proposed: "The three of us are equally famous in the poetry world, and it has always been difficult to distinguish between the three of us. Now there is a good opportunity for a chance encounter, I have an idea, wait for these four singers to sing for a while, whose poems are sung the most, who will come out on top, we will all call him the boss in the future, how? ”

Wang Changling and Gao Shi gladly clapped their hands in response: "So the best." Whoever is afraid of whom, lest we always fight and fight, and no one will obey anyone. ”

After the three of them drank a glass of wine, a singer sang: "The cold rain and the river enter Wu at night, and Ping Ming sends guests to ChuShan Lonely." Luoyang relatives and friends asked each other, a piece of ice heart in the jade pot. ”

Amid the cheers, Wang Changling drew a horizontal mark on the wall and said triumphantly: "I already have one." ”

Another singer then sang: "Kai Zhen tears, see the Book of the Day before the King." The night platform is lonely, just like Zi Yunju. ”

Gao Shi also immediately drew a horizontal mark on the wall: "Hey hey, I also have a song." ”

Another singer then sang: "Broom Ping Ming Golden Temple open, and the tuan fan will wander together." Jade face is not as good as Jackdaw color. Bring the shadow of the sun to the sun. ”

Wang Changling was so proud that his mouth could not be closed, and he hurriedly drew a horizontal mark on the wall: "I have two songs." ”

Seeing this situation, Wang Zhizhuo was a little anxious. Clever, he cleverly changed the rules of the game in a hurry. He deliberately dismissively said: "Just now these three singers are too earthy in aesthetic taste, and they sing the broken things of the "lower riba people" of the two of you, where can they appreciate my Yangchun white snow? After saying that, before Wang Changling and Gao Shi could react, he pointed to the fourth female singer and said, "Among these singers, she is the most beautiful and the most extraordinary." If she doesn't sing my poems again, I'll bow down to the wind and worship you both as teachers from now on."

The three of them waited while drinking.

When the snow outside the window of the restaurant fell violently like a cry, the most beautiful and elegant girl opened her mouth vigorously in the cry: "The Yellow River is far above the white clouds, a lonely city of WanlingShan, Why should Qiang Di complain about the willows, and the spring wind does not close the jade gate." ”

It is Wang Zhizhuo's "Liangzhou Words".

Wang Zhizhuo had such self-confidence because his poetry had always been a famous piece produced by many music workshops at that time, and had long been sung in the long sky of the Tang Dynasty.

His poems do not use profound imagery, are clear and simple, like everyday spoken language. But his simple and natural combination of images creates novel moods and unique imagery.

So, as soon as we open his poetry scroll, we can meet him in the air, and suddenly resonate with his feelings, deeply linked.

This is also the difference between Wang Zhizhuo and other famous border poets, such as Cen Shan and Gao Shi. Although his poems are not numerous, they are unusually vast and profound, and highly fit the nature and culture of the border plugs, showing the majesty of the ancients and the vast broad mind of the vast ocean, spewing out the majestic vitality of that dynasty with the strength of rock and roll, and playing with themselves with a truly uninhibited soul pride into a milestone of Tang poetry.

Now, a thousand years have passed, and his life has been eroded by time and blurred. However, his poems are still full of emotion and radiance, bursting out of his high light in rock and roll, and it is also our youth, our pain, our love, and the emotions and tones that have been pervading since the Tang Dynasty to this day.
