Xiamen's "brother" on CCTV's "Avenue of Stars"

From the city race to the provincial race, with his own persistence, Xiamen taxi driver Peng Lihua advanced all the way to the top and finally appeared on the CCTV stage. Recently, he entered Beijing to participate in the weekly recording of CCTV's three variety channels "Avenue of Stars". The program he participated in recording is expected to air before the Spring Festival.

Peng Lihua, 43 years old, is a native of Chenzhou, Hunan Province, and has loved vocal music since he was a child. After retiring from the army, he moved to Xiamen and became a taxi driver for the Straits Taxi Company in 2007.

In 2018, on the recommendation of a friend, Peng Lihua participated in the program recording of CCTV's "Echo Loud", won the second prize in the Xiamen Division, and entered the CCTV program library. In October 2019, Peng Lihua signed up for the "Walk of Fame" program and broke through in the city competition that year. At the beginning of 2020, just as he was nervously preparing for the provincial competition, the epidemic struck, and everything was temporarily shelved. Until July 2021, in the restarted provincial competition, Peng Lihua sang in the top 30 and received an invitation from the "Walk of Fame".

"Maybe because the identity of 'brother' is grounded and inspiring." Peng Lihua said. Peng Lihua, who appeared on the CCTV stage, was recognized by the judges, which made him more confident: "Everyone has their own dreams, although it is difficult to persist, but I will not give up!"

Peng Lihua participated in the recording of the "Walk of Fame" weekly competition this time, and he chose to sing a Cantonese song "Really Love You". He likes Cantonese songs, rock music, Beyond, Wang Feng's songs are all repeatedly practiced by him. "These songs give me the strength to keep going." Peng Lihua said.
