National Day food safety: Zhejiang seized 9 batches of problem foods, including kelp silk, chicken essence, squeezed vegetables

Pay attention to food safety and stay away from health hazards

In order to ensure the food safety of residents during the National Day, the relevant government departments of Zhejiang Province organized special sampling inspections of national day food, and a total of grain processed products, edible oils, oils and fats and their products, condiments, meat products, dairy products, beverages, convenience foods, biscuits, canned food, frozen drinks, quick-frozen foods, potatoes and puffed foods, confectionery products, tea and related products, alcohol, vegetable products, fruit products, fried foods and nut products, egg products, sugar, aquatic products, starch and starch products, pastries, soy products, 985 batches of samples of bee products, catering foods, food additives, edible agricultural products and other 28 types of food. According to the national food safety standards inspection and judgment: sampling inspection qualified 976 batches, unqualified 9 batches. The specifics are as follows:

1. The total number of jellyfish heads sold by the Rooftop Branch of Zhejiang Sanjiang Shopping Co., Ltd. and produced by Shandong Yuzhen Aquatic Products Co., Ltd. does not meet the requirements of the national food safety standards.

The total number of colonies is an indicative microbiological indicator, which mainly reflects whether the food meets the hygienic requirements during production. The total number of colonies exceeding the standard indicates that individual enterprises may not strictly control the sanitary conditions of the production and processing process as required, or the cleaning and disinfection of packaging containers are not in place; it may also be related to the lax sealing of product packaging and improper control of storage and transportation conditions.

2. Taizhou Luqiao Runfu Commercial Co., Ltd. sales, Shanghai Yutian Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. production of ready-to-eat oatmeal, mold does not meet the provisions of national food safety standards.

Mold is a fungus, widely present in nature, instant oatmeal mold exceeding the standard may be due to raw material contamination, or in the production, storage, transportation, sales process, improper control of sanitary conditions and lead to mold contamination of the product. Mold contamination can spoil food, destroy the color, aroma and taste of food, lose the edible value of food, and produce mycotoxins to endanger human health.

3. Chicken essence seasoning produced by Lanxi Lanjiang Condiment Co., Ltd., coliform bacteria do not meet the provisions of national food safety standards.

Coliform bacteria are one of the commonly used indicator bacteria for food contamination at home and abroad. Coliform bacteria detected in food suggest a greater likelihood of contamination by pathogenic bacteria (e.g., Salmonella, Shigella, pathogenic E. coli). The health risk is low, but reflects that the hygiene status of the food is not up to standard. Coliform excess may be caused by contamination of the processing raw materials and packaging materials of the product, or the pollution of the product by personnel, tools and other production equipment, the environment during the production process, and the incomplete sterilization of the product with sterilization process.

4. Hangzhou Yuhang District Tangqi Town Liyuan Drinking Water Store sales, Hangzhou Fenggu Beverage Co., Ltd. production of packaged drinking water, Pseudomonas aeruginosa does not meet the provisions of national food safety standards.

5. Hangzhou Yuhang District Linping Street Liu Jiunu water store sales, Hangzhou Jingshan Beverage Co., Ltd. production of packaged drinking water, Pseudomonas aeruginosa does not meet the national standards for food safety.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a conditional pathogenic bacteria, widely distributed in all kinds of water, air, normal human skin, respiratory tract and intestines, etc., easy to survive in a humid environment, disinfectants, ultraviolet rays, etc. have strong resistance, for people with weak resistance has a greater health risk. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is mainly caused by source water contamination or poor hygiene control of the production process. GB19298-2014 "National Standard for Food Safety Packaged Drinking Water" clearly stipulates that Pseudomonas aeruginosa shall not be detected in every 250mL of water samples, and requires that each batch of finished products be tested for Pseudomonas aeruginosa before leaving the factory.

6. The spiced squeezed vegetables sold at the Sun Runfang booth of Zhejiang Anhui Comprehensive Market in Si'an Town, Changxing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, benzoic acid and its sodium salt (in terms of benzoic acid) do not meet the national standards for food safety.

7. Sold by Jianliang Vice Food Department Store in Baiguan Street, Shangyu District, Shaoxing City, and produced by Shandong Hongchuan Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd., the spicy kelp silk, benzoic acid and its sodium salt (in terms of benzoic acid) do not meet the provisions of the national food safety standards.

Benzoic acid and its sodium salt are common preservatives in the food industry, which have a good inhibitory effect on mold, yeast and bacteria. The National Standard for Food Safety and the Standard for the Use of Food Additives (GB2760-2014) stipulate that benzoic acid and its sodium salt (in terms of benzoic acid) shall not be used in spicy kelp silk, and the maximum amount of use in pickled vegetables is 1.0g/kg. The safety of benzoic acid and its sodium salt is high, a small amount of benzoic acid is not toxic to the human body, can be excreted with urine, and will not accumulate in the human body. Long-term excessive intake of foods with excessive benzoic acid may have an impact on liver function.

8. The ginger, thiamethoxam and thiamethoxam sold by the Chen's Vegetable Business Department in Danghu Town, Pinghu City do not meet the national standards for food safety.

Thiamethoxamine is a neonicotinoid insecticide, which has the effect of systemic, touch killing and gastric toxicity, and has a good preventive effect on ginger maggots. A small amount of residue will not cause acute poisoning in the human body, but long-term consumption of food with excessive thioxazamine may have a certain impact on human health. The National Standard for Food Safety The maximum residue limit of pesticides in food (GB 2763-2019) stipulates that the maximum residue limit value of thiose amine in rhizome vegetables is 0.2mg/kg. The reason why the residual amount of thiamethoxamine in ginger exceeds the standard may be to quickly control the insect pest, increase the amount of medication or fail to comply with the regulations on the picking interval, resulting in excessive residues in the products on the market.

9. The peroxide value (in terms of fat) of the open pine nuts sold by Zhangzi Food Store in Xincheng, Zhoushan City and produced by Zhuji Meixiangnuo Food Co., Ltd. does not meet the provisions of the national food safety standards.

The peroxide value mainly reflects whether the oil and fat of the product are oxidized and deteriorated. With the oxidation of oils and fats, the peroxide value will gradually increase, although it generally does not harm the health of the human body, but in severe cases, it will lead to gastrointestinal discomfort, diarrhea and other symptoms. The reason for the excess of the peroxide value may be that the oil and fat have deteriorated, or the environmental conditions of the product during the storage process are not properly controlled, resulting in rancidity of the oil; it may also be that the fat in the raw material has been oxidized, the raw material is stored improperly, and effective antioxidant measures are not taken, so that the final product oil is oxidized.
