"White clothes dazzling May, angels bless China!" May 12 is the 113th International Nurses Day, in order to carry forward Nightingale's humanitarian spirit of saving lives and helping the wounded and the noble quality of selfless dedication to the cause of nursing, stimulate the enthusiasm of the medical staff of the hospital to serve the people wholeheartedly, and strengthen the standardization of the nursing team, on the afternoon of May 9, the charity volunteer service team of Yijun Longshan Hospital carried out a series of volunteer service activities to celebrate the Nurses' Day.
1. Carry out environmental protection garbage picking activities. Under the leadership of Zhang Maoyan, director of the women's working committee of the hospital trade union, deputy captain of the volunteer service team and director of the outpatient department, the public service team members of the hospital were organized to pick up the garbage in the grass on the side of the road in the hospital and outside the hospital and along the tourist route to the county pension service center.
2. Carry out free clinic health education activities. The deputy captain of the volunteer service team, the director of the Department of Internal Medicine, and Yan Guo led the medical volunteers of the medical department and the nursing department of the hospital to the county pension service center to carry out free clinics and health education and publicity activities, and the volunteers measured blood pressure, blood sugar, cardiopulmonary auscultation, physical examination and other voluntary health examinations, nail trimming, psychological comfort, etc., and patiently taught the elderly about the precautions for taking medicine for hypertension and diabetes, healthy diet and nutrition issues and matters to be paid attention to in daily life. The event served more than 100 elderly people, and was well received by the elderly and the staff of the elderly service center.
3. Carry out unpaid blood donation activities. In order to vigorously promote the spirit of "dedication, fraternity, mutual assistance, and progress" of unpaid blood donation, 13 volunteers in the hospital volunteered to donate 3200ml of blood, proving that scientific blood donation is beneficial to health with their own practical actions, creating a good image of angels in white, and demonstrating the noble feelings of the hospital's staff who are enthusiastic about public welfare and the benevolence of doctors.
