On May 19, the day of "China Tourism Day", the "Dayin Bookstore - Impression Wukang Theme Store" located in Wukang Building was upgraded and opened, and it has also become a new public service demonstration site for the integration of culture and tourism in Xuhui District.
In recent years, Xuhui District, as one of the first batch of public cultural service system demonstration areas in the country, has actively explored the construction of a public service system for the integration of culture and tourism, continuously explored the high-quality development of cultural and tourism public services, basically formed a cultural and tourism integration development pattern of "one core, multiple points, and three-level coordination", and established a cultural and tourism public service system of "level 1 flagship store + level 2 professional station + level 3 express station". The newly renovated "Dayin Bookstore - Impression Wukang Theme Store" is the 21st public service demonstration site for the integration of culture and tourism in Xuhui District, and it is also the latest 3-level express site.
In 2016, at the beginning of its opening, Dayin Bookstore Wukang Road Store adhered to the concept of "warm tea for watchmen and lighting lamps for night pedestrians", and took the initiative to set the store back by nearly 10 square meters, creating a bench rest area that is convenient for passers-by to wait for the sun, and providing free tea and other services.
In addition to highlighting the Shanghai theme and Shanghai-style characteristics in the selection of books, the upgrade also added the Shanghai tourism consulting service logo in the store, and set up service points to provide cultural and tourism-related consulting services in Xuhui area, relevant information on various cultural and tourism integration activities and other characteristic public welfare services, so as to facilitate citizens and tourists to experience better public service products for cultural and tourism integration, and enhance the "beautiful index" of Wukang Road-Anfu Road tourism and leisure block. The store also added a Xuhui characteristic cultural and creative display and sales area, presenting a number of Xuhui cultural and creative brand peripherals such as Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Former Residence Memorial Hall, Wukang Building Post Office, Charm Hengfu, etc., linking the characteristic commercial and cultural tourism resources in the area. Combined with the tourism characteristics of Wukang Road, the store also provides a series of themed stamp experiences, with a total of 25 first-time stamps, including monochrome stamps, color stamps, combination stamps, etc., covering landmark buildings, traditional festivals, 24 solar terms, cultural celebrities, Shanghai road names, etc.
The WUKANG WE LOVE YOU themed exhibition also opened on the same day. The exhibition is a commemorative special exhibition jointly launched by TOBF, a well-known creative agency in Shanghai, and Dayin Bookstore, which will last until June 18 from the perspective of artists living in the vicinity of the Wukang Building, through the presentation of creative paintings and art installations. Subsequently, Dayin Bookstore will also combine the characteristics around Wukang Road to carry out more exhibitions related to the integration of culture and tourism based on the characteristics of Wukang Building.
Wukang Building and Wukang Road are important "witnesses" of Shanghai's promotion of architecture and urban spirit activation in the new era, and the Dayin Bookstore Impression Wukang Theme Store was opened as a new identity of a public service demonstration site for the integration of culture and tourism, representing the introduction of new formats, the design of new spaces and the development of new cultural creativity, aiming to build a new space with multiple attributes of business, culture and tourism, and promote the integrated development of culture and tourism in a wider range, deeper and higher level.
