In order to excavate the typical cases, advanced figures and demonstration practices that have emerged in the national reading work in Fengtai District, according to the requirements of the "Implementation Opinions on Deepening the Construction of Scholarly Fengtai in the New Era", in November 2023, ten projects will be solicited in the whole district, including outstanding reading promoters, scholarly families, scholarly communities, scholarly institutions, scholarly enterprises, scholarly campuses, brand reading clubs, characteristic physical bookstores, excellent reading promotion cases, and scholarly hotels, with 5 selection places for each project. After bottom-up recommendation and selection, the review meeting will be held on November 30, 2023 and February 28, 2024, and the evaluation team will be composed of the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee, the Working Committee of the District Organs, the District Education Commission, the District Culture and Tourism Bureau, the District Federation of Trade Unions, the Youth League District Committee, the District Women's Federation, and the District Library, and a total of 49 units and individuals will be selected for ten projects. In order to commend the advanced, drive and lead all units and all residents in the district to actively participate in various activities of national reading, and promote the in-depth development of national reading in Scholarly Fengtai, this official account will successively publish the advanced deeds of the winning units and individuals in the 2023 Scholarly Fengtai series selection.

Adhering to the concept of "new culture, new life", Shoushuge is committed to building a complex, immersive and interactive cultural space integrating reading, learning, display, art, creativity, fashion and other functions, and is committed to giving full play to the role of platforms such as "Joy Reading House", "Staff Library" and "Community Youth Gathering", holding reading, art, exchange and other activities, in order to play an active role in promoting national reading and building a scholarly society, and to build an innovative, open and shared urban cultural parlor.
With a total area of more than 300 square meters, Shoushuge has been awarded the 2023 Beijing "Scholarly Enterprise". The bookstore innovatively draws naked-eye 3D posters, integrating Fengtai cultural elements with new fashions, fully embodying the ancient capital culture, red culture, Beijing flavor culture and innovative culture. At present, there are more than 5,000 books in politics and law, Chinese and foreign literature, philosophy and social science, economic management, history and geography, science and technology, language and writing, etc. The borrowing area has set up a "staff bookstore" supported by the Fengtai District Federation of Trade Unions and Taipingqiao Street, which currently has two categories: children's literature and adult literature, with a total of 3,000 volumes.
