The place of the incident is a mulberry forest near the ground parking lot on the periphery of a small area on Qianhu North Road, Yinzhou District. In the afternoon, the little boy came with his parents to pick mulberries and had a great time.
The little boy walked and walked, not paying attention to his feet, and stepped on a piece of bamboo fence. Due to the perennial exposure to the sun and rain, the strength of the bamboo fence sheet becomes very low and breaks immediately. The parents followed the sound and found that there was a deep well with no manhole cover, and the mouth of the well was only covered with a piece of bamboo fence, and the little boy fell into the well, frightened, crying and struggling. Seeing this, the boy's parents panicked and immediately called the police on 110.
At about 4:50 p.m., the traffic police, police officers and firefighters who were on duty nearby received the police and rushed to ask for help, only to see that this was an abandoned well, with a diameter of about 0.8 meters and a depth of about 6 meters, and there was water at the bottom of the well.
Subsequently, the rescuers persuaded the onlookers to leave first to ensure a safe rescue space, and then leaned over to the wellhead to observe the situation of the trapped boy. After investigation, it was learned that the person who fell into the well was an 11-year-old boy, about 1.5 meters tall, and the boy's chest and below were soaked in water.
After discussion, the firefighters decided to carry the rescue rope and safety belt and other equipment to the bottom of the well, and after carefully inquiring about the boy's physical condition to confirm that there was no major problem, carefully instructed the child to wear the safety belt, and then carefully placed the 6-meter ladder to the bottom of the deep well, and guided the child to climb out of the well.
During the process, the firefighters comforted the boy and told him to pay attention to protection and not to look up. After 10 minutes, the trapped boy successfully climbed out of the wellhead and was later taken to the hospital for examination.
Afterwards, the harvesting garden strengthened the cover and decided to completely seal the wellhead with cement after the festival.
