Walking into the greenhouse, Lu Weibing, the head of the cooperative, and the workers were skillfully picking the ripe mulberries one by one, and after a while, the baskets of mulberries were filled. "Today, a customer needs 30 catties of mulberries, and a few of us started to get busy early in the morning. The cooperative's mulberries have been growing for about 10 years, and regular customers come to me every year to buy them. Lu Weibing introduced.
It is understood that in previous years, the mulberries planted by the cooperative began to ripen around April 25, but this year due to the impact of rain and temperature, it was delayed by about 10 days compared with previous years. At present, the temperature is high, it is the rapid ripening period of mulberries, the daily output is basically maintained at about 30 catties, the picking period is about 10 days, and the price is the same as in previous years, stable at 30 yuan per catty. Citizens can come to the cooperative to pick and buy.
In order to increase the yield, the cooperative converted the mulberries planted in the open air to greenhouse planting, and at the same time, the greenhouse floor was covered with mulch, which not only prevented harmful bacteria from spreading to the fruit trees, but also inhibited the growth of weeds and kept the greenhouse clean and tidy. In addition, in order to prevent birds from stealing the fruits, anti-bird nets are also fenced around the greenhouse.
In addition to mulberries, the cooperative also grows Jinshan small crown watermelon, peach, yellow peach, raw pear, Maiji and red beauty, which not only enriches the product line, but also can be sold off-peak to ensure a high yield.
