In 2K-based testing, the Dell XPS 14 ran at 55+ FPS, delivering visually near-silky gaming graphics. Through the inspection data, it can be found that the Dell XPS 14 runs with less frame rate fluctuations and the overall performance is stable. In the 4K-based Time Spy Extreme advanced test, the Dell XPS 14 still performed amazingly, delivering an excellent performance of 50+ FPS. Smooth frame rate fluctuations are enough to show the notebook's strong resistance to pressure.
Combined with the previously mentioned Dell XPS 14 optimization, it is actually difficult to show the pressure resistance of the notebook in the test of Time Spy Extreme, so we chose Night Raid, which requires more computing power, for the test. During the whole test, we found that the Dell XPS 14 still showed good stability in the Night Raid test, which required much more computing power than Time Spy Extreme, with the CPU basically controlled at 3000-4000MHz, the GPU always frequency basically maintained at 2000-3000MHz, and the GPU memory time frequency basically maintained at 1500-2000MHz, without major fluctuations. In terms of operating frame rate, by observing the frame rate changes during operation in real time, we found that the Dell XPS 14 still has stable performance in high-intensity operation scenarios, and there is no high or low frame rate.
In the three tests of Fire Strike, Fire Strike Extreme, and Fire Strike Ultra based on DirectX 11, Dell XPS 14 scored 12410 points, 6317 points, and 2996 points respectively, and the running frame rate remained stable at 45+ FPS, and the performance was stable in 1080P, 2K, and 4K resolution test scenarios, and had good support for the previous generation of 3A works.
For players with a nostalgic plot, the Dell XPS 14 notebook can also be a gaming tool. Through the Indigo Bench test, we can see that the notebook discrete graphics card in particular can provide users with excellent OpenCL support performance.
