He said: "Although this doorman made mistakes, he also had a sense of remorse. I am willing to compensate his neighbor for his losses and ensure that he will not make mistakes in the future. In the end, the government was moved by Meng Weijun's sincerity and let this guest go. After the news spread, people praised Meng Weijun for his benevolence and righteousness, which made more people willing to defect to him.
Next is the Plains King of the Zhao Kingdom. Pingyuan Jun's name is Zhao Sheng, and he is a powerful person in the Zhao State. He has a bold personality and loves to make friends. Once, when a friend of Hirahara-kun was exiled for committing a crime, Hirahara-kun drove all the way to see off this friend. On the occasion of separation, Pingyuan-kun said to his friend: "You can go with confidence, I will help you take care of your family and wait for you to come back." This sincere friendship touched everyone present. As a result, Pingyuan Jun also gained many loyal friends and made great achievements for Zhao Guoguo.
I also learned about Chun Shenjun of the Chu State. Chun Shenjun's name was Huang Xie and he was a nobleman of the Chu State. He was erudite and strategic. One year, the state of Chu suffered from a drought, and Chun Shenjun suggested to the king of Chu that taxes should be reduced or exempted, and a warehouse should be opened for disaster relief. Thanks to his efforts, the state of Chu survived. In addition, Chun Shenjun also actively participated in international affairs, engaged in heated debates with envoys from other countries, and won dignity and benefits for the state of Chu.
Finally, I would like to mention the Xinling Jun of the Wei State. Xinlingjun's name is Wei Wuji, and he is the prince of Wei. He is brave and good at fighting, and he is a corporal with good manners, and there are countless diners under his door. Xin Lingjun's most famous deed was stealing talismans to save Zhao. At that time, Zhao was besieged by Qin, and in order to save Zhao, Xinlingjun did not hesitate to take the risk of stealing the talisman and mobilizing the Wei army. Although Xinlingjun was demoted in the end because of this incident, his heroic deeds of saving Zhao have been passed down through the ages.
By reading this book, I have a deeper understanding of the historical figures of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Each of them has its own characteristics and has made outstanding contributions to the country. These stories made me understand that the prosperity of a country is inseparable from these brave and resourceful people.
