On the first weekend of the new year, people came and went in the store, and the gold jewelry, gold bars, and bracelets of ancient craftsmanship of the Year of the Dragon were the best-sellers.
At present, the listed price of jewelry gold is more than 600 yuan per gram, which is at a high level, and it is about 550 yuan per gram after the discount. At the beginning of 2023, the price of gold is only about 420 yuan per gram. Although prices have been rising, gold sales are still hot, and there are more and more young consumers among them.
Bank bullion sales are also getting hotter. Taking the gold bars sold by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China as an example, the price is about 490 yuan per gram, which is nearly 100 yuan per gram lower than that of gold jewelry.
The gold consumption boom has also boosted corporate production. At a gold jewellery manufacturer in Wuhan, production lines are running at full capacity, with shipments doubling in the first week of the new year compared to usual. According to expert analysis, in the future, gold prices will still fluctuate and rise, but affected by various complex factors in the international market, the gold market price will fluctuate significantly, and investment needs to remain rational.
