A few days ago, the first temporary shelter and rescue point for terrestrial wild animals in Jinshan District was officially launched.

The newly built wildlife shelter and rescue point is located in a small wildlife park in Binhai Park, which is jointly managed by Binhai Park and Jinshan Green Construction and Conservation Company, and is equipped with 2 keepers.

The shelter and rescue point can assess injured wild animals, provide a place for slightly injured animals to rest and recuperate, and arrange for release after recovery. Seriously injured or foreign animals shall be transported to professional institutions such as Shanghai Wildlife Park. The establishment of shelter and rescue points has improved the feedback speed of wildlife rescue in our region, improved the rescue plan, and standardized the rescue process, which plays an important role in the protection of wild animals.

Now, residents can call the contact number 57315814 (working days) or call the 12345 citizen hotline to get in touch with the wildlife protection department in time when they encounter injured wild animals, and the staff will verify and send the terrestrial wild animals in need of rescue to the shelter and rescue point.
