In 2024, the theme of International Museum Day is "Museums Committed to Education and Research". Jinshan District Museum closely combines the theme of Museum Day, relies on the high-quality resources of Jinshan coastal area, gives full play to its cultural and ecological advantages, plans relevant theme exhibitions and social education activities, deepens the museum's social education function in a form that the masses like to see, and further expands social benefits and influence.

The District Museum plans to hold a special exhibition "The Hidden Sea in the Bay Area: Shanghai Citizens' Collection" during the International Museum Day on May 18. The exhibition brings together more than 100 pieces of fine collections from more than 10 collectors in the city, focusing on calligraphy, paintings, strange stones and inkstones and other elegant stationery supplies and toys, focusing on showing the collection style of citizens, stimulating their enthusiasm for collecting, promoting excellent traditional culture, and looking forward to giving the audience a different visual experience.

As one of the 113 "Social Aesthetic Education" classrooms in the city, Jinshan District Museum combines the "5.18 International Museum Day" and relies on the museum's six patriotic education bases to carry out special aesthetic education experience activities. The purpose of the event is to popularize art, integrate humanities education into daily life, so that more citizens can walk into cultural and museum venues, experience aesthetic education classes, and strive to create a Jinshan model of cultural self-confidence and self-improvement. In the morning, we will focus on the main building, and in the afternoon, we will carry out related activities at each base.

As a place and carrier of public cultural services, museums not only display cultural relics to the public, but also play a social education function, which has important value and significance in today's cultural inheritance. On the International Museum Day, sign language teachers were invited to do a "Wonderful Museum Tour" smart guide experience activity for the children of special groups in Jinshan, so that the children could have a better understanding of the land under their feet.
The smart guide uses a tablet computer as the basic information display carrier, and uses BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology to realize the automatic positioning of exhibits, the positioning of tourists, and the recognition of tourist behavior. Different from traditional audio guides, smart guides provide visitors with pictures, videos, interactive graphics, games, AR and other forms of content on the basis of providing the most basic audio guides, combined with the in-depth information of the exhibits that the curators need to convey, and finally give the audience a full and interesting introduction to the exhibits.

This public welfare appraisal consultation activity, co-sponsored by the Shanghai Cultural Relics Protection Research Center, Jinshan District Museum and Jinshan District Collection Association, mainly includes four categories: porcelain, jade, coins, calligraphy and painting.

(1) A small cinema in the museum
Cinema is a new art form that has emerged after words, comedy, music, dance, painting, and architecture. An excellent movie will have a certain impact on the child's aesthetics, thoughts and feelings, as well as the development of character. On the day of the May 18 International Expo Day, the Jinshan District Museum sincerely invites more members of the public to enter the museum and watch blockbusters together under the name of "Jin Xiaobo's Movie Appointment". This event was strongly supported by the Jinshan District Cultural and Tourism Resources Distribution Management Center.
(2) Jimbo Wonderful Night
With the "five education - moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor" as the guide, recruiting experiencers for the society, with a group of 4-6 people, a total of 6 groups of players, need to collect 5 clues, and find the corresponding "treasure" according to the clues within the specified time, each group needs to challenge 5 treasure guardians, corresponding to "morality, intelligence, physique, beauty, labor", and you can get a clue if you succeed in the challenge. The first three teams to complete the mission will receive a mystery prize. In the five-character education policy game, the contestants will work as a team to complete tasks to understand the story behind the Jinshan cultural relics.
