On December 23, Jiangsu Provincial Science Popularization Service Center, Jiangsu Academy of Forestry Sciences, and Jurong Chishan Lake Management Committee jointly held a wetland science popularization research activity of "Deciphering Wetland Biodiversity: Migratory Birds Go Home" in Chishan Lake National Wetland Park.
The Convention on Biological Diversity is an international convention for the protection of the earth's living resources, aiming to protect endangered plants and animals and maximize the protection of the earth's diverse biological resources. The event invited Ding Jingjing, a senior engineer of Jiangsu Academy of Forestry Sciences, to carry out a popular science lecture on the theme of "Hi, Let's Go Bird Watching Together" for the teenagers present, through the explanation of the appearance and chirping of various birds, we have met a group of "residents" of Chishan Lake Wetland: little grebe, black water pheasant, cormorant, black-tailed wax-billed finch, turtle dove, etc.
In the scientific bird watching session, everyone followed the teachers into the Chishan Lake Wetland and experienced the beautiful wetland ecological environment. At the event, under the guidance of the teacher, the children used binoculars to observe the migratory birds in the Chishan Lake National Wetland Park, which were dancing, leisurely swimming, or diving for food, showing the vitality and vitality of the wetland ecosystem. The teacher also introduced the migration and living Xi of migratory birds, migratory birds in order to survive and reproduce, every year will carry out long-distance migration, with their keen perception and super flight ability, overcome many difficulties, complete the migration journey, in the wetland, migratory birds inhabit, forage, breed, and live in harmony with other creatures, forming a rich and colorful ecosystem.
