Zhentai County, Baicheng City, has been awarded the "Hometown of Chinese White Cranes" by the China Wildlife Conservation Association, and the Momog Wetland located in the territory is a "gas station" for the cranes on their migration route.
Every spring, the white cranes returning to the north and many migratory birds that migrate here stop in the shallows of the fields, sometimes spreading their wings and soaring, sometimes foraging and playing on the water. They dance and move gracefully, adding life and vitality to the Momog wetlands.
At present, there are more than 3,000 white cranes, more than 1,000 gray cranes, more than 10,000 geese and more than 500 swans in the Momog wetland.
In addition, the Oriental White Stork also continues to increase in Zhentai County, with more than 20 nests breeding this year.
